I don't think of it as they cut back because of that, I think of it more as they're going back to the form of the older episodes where they used alot less cutaways.

I don't know if any of you guys know about this, but I'm to understand that this cartoon was based on the whole Serenity Now/Warcraft Funeral Ambush about 6 months ago.

I have a cousin who works at Blizzard in Irvine, we had a good laugh about all this shit.

Do you guys know the story behind this shit?

What the… People actually take those games that seriously? I don't know the story behind it, but from what it says on that Youtube page, some girl who played the game died in real life, and they had a funeral for her on the game, and this "guild" that calls themselves "Serenity Now" ambushed it and killed all the funeral goers. What a bunch of nerds, ha ha ha ha.

hahaha, yeah, that's what happened.

The thing is that the people who held the funeral for the girl specifically asked Blizzard in a message board if the mods could watch over the procession and make sure nobody fucks with it. Blizzard said "no" because that would be limiting what a person can do in that type of gaming world. So some of the guys from Serenity Now (which seem to be cool guys, in my eyes. Or at least ones with nice senses of humor) were like "Fuck this" and just decided to massacre the whole thing.

My cousin Garrett said it this way "you either love it or you hate it." and that's true. It offends some people, but it's really funny to me.

Fuckin' nerds.

shit is funny ... but imo south park has gotten better over the years ... at first it was the shock value of cartoons cursing , flying poo , and kenny dying but the last couple seasons have really good episodes with more social and political plots behind them

That is a pretty controversial claim. I like Futurama, but I think that my vote for "best animated show on television.... ever" would go to the Batman: The Animated Series that was on in the early 90’s.

That nots entirely true. The show has only been picked up for two more seasons as of right now, but that doesn't mean fox won't order more seasons between now and the end of the current deal.

It's funny you say that Matt Goring wanted to stop the Simpson's so he could just do Futurama, but basically wasn't allowed, so hence more Simpson's

Futurama got dropped as it was to "adult" for kids to get, so the network cancelled it

But by popular demend Futurama has now started to be remade - stoked

Now someone just needs to sort Family Guy out, it went from totally hysterical to shit

My thoughts exactly. The writing is way more clever now and the political commentary is really good and they don't takes sides like you would expect them too. The show is way better than when it started, I think they have really stepped it up. Episodes like:

- The war one with the country singers against the rockers
- Lord of the rings knock off
- You've got servered

etc...

all real clever shit, that is why beyond the talking poo and gross outs they started with, which were still funny back in the day.

The WOW episode really requires you to understand and be annoyed by gaming culture to get. I am a programmer at a place where people play video games at work all day so I hear all about this shit all the time and thought it was funny.

i hate when people talk about shows having 'advanced' humor. like futurama, how can you not get that? it's things from the present put in a future setting and made 'futuristic.' as for tom goes to the mayor, that show is just fucking dumb. it's just more annoying, 'random' humor. i could make a funnier show than tom goes to the mayor. and yes the simpsons should be cancelled and no they should not make a movie.
