yeah, it helps.. but it will look like shit
if you have leather shoes it can look nice if you do it clean and even it out with a cube of ice

I super glue the stitching around the toecap and ollie area on shoes before I skate them as a preemptive measure. This keeps the stitching from blowing out. Then later when they start getting worn down on the toe from flip tricks I usually slap a little shoe goo on there.

I like putting it on the first three lace holes and spreading it up the laces a half inch or so...then I skate in the shoes a few times..after that you can pretty much see where they are going to wear out...put a little bit on those areas....it doesn't matter what it looks like...in your life you'll go through alot of shoes..jobs..friends etc...cheer up.

I put it right on my feet... the ollie area. I also used a bowie knife to dig out air pockets in my heel.

It's amazing how well the superglue on stitching trick works.

ive done that but i like just waiting a few days and finding some problem areas where it tears and putting dabs here and there. and if you want glue to put on that literally will never tear off or wear away use welding glue. it comes in a silver tube and its the strongest shit around

best results if you lrave them for at least 24 hours. even better iff you do it, wait 24 hours, then re-do it and wait again.

Agreed. I've used it on almost every pair of shoes I've ever skated.

If you skate Half Cabs like I do, the side will blow out way before the soles are even worn down at all, if you don’t glue them or whatever. It would be nice to be able to get a new pair once a week after they rip, but I am living on a Caribbean island right now where there are no skate shops, and international shipping is outrageously expensive, so I have to make what I have last as long as possible in between sporadic trips back to the States. I think it is much funnier to buy a new pair of shoes once a week because you don’t want to put a little shoe goo on a hole in a pair of otherwise perfectly skateable shoes. Waste not, want not.
