i?ve had the orange ones for more than 1 year now, and i regularly skate them in the miniramp and on flat. havent had problems, even though many people complain about them.

my first set chunked up on me after a while.. they lasted way longer than the last two, though. i've got no prob with that happening considering the shit pavement/cobblestone around here, but the core separating completely in next to no time is something else. can't fish my bearings out, either.

those 65s look gigantic by the way.. i applaud you.

Did they change the formula? After they first came out everybody talked about how good they were. Few years later all I hear are complaints. I ride the spitfire 80Ds, and I LOVE them. A little bouncy, but that's kinda fun after you get used to them.

My friend has had a pair for his cruiser since last fall and rides it regularly and has had no problems. I guess they're just a mixed bag.

they are, but the ground here is so damn shitty sometimes that i had to get them.

also, want to take that shortcut through the grass? no problem.

Those were are really soft and can't withstand the same type of abuse small hard wheels can. It's like 4x4ing in a geo metro. No matter the brand, soft urethane on a plastic hub can peel off at any time if you're trying to skate them like regular wheels. Theyre made for rolling and a few ollies. I'm not saying you can't skate them regularly but don't be bummed if they blow up on you.

I had the green ones and they did the same thing. I was just cruising on them, no real skating.

I've had 3 pairs, and none of them got fucked up like that. (would have just kept riding the first pair, but I kept giving them away with cruiser set-ups for friends)
the 65mm are the best ones too. you can skate on the roughest patch of pebbles glued together and still not feel a thing.

The set I got was soooo slow (even with Swiss bearings and riding in a skatepark) that I got rid of them before I could even think about doing backside 180s with them.

I'm guessing you had one of the smaller of the sizes they offer. I noticed the 58mm ones I had felt pretty slow. Gotta trust me on those orange 65 numbers though, they fucking fly. It probably have something to do with how soft the wheel is. The less material between your axle and the ground, the more pressure is focused into one spot in your wheels, which means more friction.

Pretty sure they were the 58s.  Wasn't about to buy another set of the same wheels in a slightly larger size though and risk getting disappointed again.  Isn't the plastic hub supposed to help with the wheels being so soft?

probably does "help", but apparently not enough.
just get some OJIIIs if your psychie/juju/mojo has been tainted away from buying a pair of the orange 65 zingers.

It probably doesn't help that your wheels look old as fuck and are coned.

yeah man, like 3 weeks old. the cone-lookingness is from the wheel being stretched out over the plastic hub.. they're like a few millimetres thick at most on the inner side.
