Outer Banks, NC
« on: June 23, 2011, 06:56:18 AM »
Going down there for a week next month--I heard there's a ton of bowls and parks. Specifically, I am interested in the Kill Devil Hills park and the big-ass bowl at the YMCA. Does anyone know what the deal is with the Y--like cost, pads, when you can skate it, etc? Also if anyone knows any other parks/bowls that are worth going to that would be sick... thanks!

I skated a YMCA park down there a few years ago when my family was on vacation in Duck. You definitely need a helmet, but I can't remember if you need full pads... I honestly don't remember wearing any, but at the same time I have a hunch that its required. I didn't look at the links above so they're most certainly more informative than I am. Typically, YMCA parks are stricter than most.
