Sometimes my fingertips touch an object and I immediately get an overwhelming smell of the object to the point that it freaks me out.

I'm so bored at work.

If someone would be willing to get a job as a security dude so people would be able to skate a spot, then quit once they got the trick or whatever

security guards usually work for a third party company and it would be a terrible idea to have it set up so that entry level job applicants picked the area they wanted to be assigned to.

it's probably different from place to place, but in the bigger cities i've skated in the same security companies will have guards at different buildings and multiple security companies will work in the same area.

Why is it required to turn off the circuit breakers or at least the main breaker, before an electrician starts service? If nothing is plugged in, would it even matter?

There's only a switch with a padlock over the plastic cover, above the meter...no wires to fuck with. If you cut the lock, the electric company knows you're stealing service. I had to wait eight hours for electricity but wasn't going to do anything illegal. I was just curious why they want all the breakers off. They weren't off but nothing bad happened to our: computers, TVs and PS4s. Also, I spent fifteen minutes using alternate phrases looking for an answer before posting here. I would have to look through an electrical engineering book to find the answer, but was hopeful that someone was educated enough in that area...should, "of," known better.

Can anyone help me with this movie question? I just watched The Hateful Eight last night, and I feel like this issue is too big of a mixup to have just been a mistake and has some other meaning.

When the new sheriff of Red Rock gets into the wagon with Kurt Russel and they're bantering back and forth, he says he'll buy them dinner and booze in Red Rock for picking them up. Kurt matter of factly says "I don't drink."

Once they're in the cabin, Kurt spends quite a bit of time at the little bar area and is shown several times drinking.

For some reason I can't stop thinking about it today. Anyone else notice this or have a theory about it?

By "start service" do you mean the power company turning on your electricity, or sending an electrician over to fix shit? Most likely your stuff was fine because it's all relatively new/the circuitry in your house is up to date. Older houses with older circuitry and appliances might not be able to take power surges as well, so they probably just ask everyone to turn off their breakers before connecting them to the transmission lines just to be safe.

If you meant an electrician coming over to fix shit, it's so that they don't get electrocuted while messing with your house's electrical system.

Right on. That makes sense. I got confused because they weren't repairing a fuse. They just sent someone over to turn on a switch by the meter. My dog kept barking at him for the entire minute he was there.

I was watching "Do The Right Thing" last night, and early in the movie when Buggin' Out asks for extra cheese Sal says that extra cheese is $2.00. The slice itself is $1.50, so does that mean it's $2.00 total, or $2.00 on the original price for a total of $3.50?

Also I just found out that Buggin' Out is Gus from "Breaking Bad" so that's interesting too...

Was mic-e like chuck-y in fresh? 'Call me mic-e I kick the stupid dope moves'. Maybe he's got a good reason but it's always struck me silly

Id wager no . Walt was not a animator if I remember correctly , atleast not on the level of ub iwerks.  And back then producing animated movies took alot of time and work . You would need alot of man power to create a even short movie . So walt would have to have his staff animate it for him which by default not make it a secret

When you almost always strictly smoke spliffs (and you dont smoke cigs) do you still enjoy the buzz or does it become your brain enjoying the nicotine?

also, do three flips suffer from some kind of uncanny valley phenomenon?
varial flips arent cool because they aren't three flips and it's the same for 360 shuvs.

can we as skaters only enjoy tricks that we can confidently identify as 360 flip or non-360 flip?

im not getting that A+ am i

Do people wax a wall when grinding down the handrail/wall combo deal? Never understood how they don't just get pitched by getting caught by their axel.

I did this one a month ago, and waxed the wall. Also waxed my axle and nut. It made a really cool noise in the footage. You can hear the metal on metal of truck on rail and also the grinding of axle on brick wall. I think you don't get pitched because most of your weight is on the rail.

Pretty cool. You want to get in there within an hour or two, before digestion gets going.
