Bombing a hill with tight trucks sounds boring.

^ You ain't bombing the right kind of hills. Once you skate the gnarly ones the goal is just to maintain that straight line.

i would like to move my bushings over but i'm just not looking forward to changing up my trucks at all. i have such a comfortable ride right now and i got a crooked grind groove that i'm pretty sure i can't crook without

Sort of medium loose? Bones mediums in Thunder 147 His w/o the bottom washer and nut almost flush w/ the top of the kingpin.

Tried to switch to Bones soft bushings and that was ridiculously unstable and squirrely.  Props for Daewon for being able to do what he does with his front truck all over the place like it is.

Loose trucks have saved me from getting run over.. though setting up for tricks with them super loose is just annoying.  I like to be in the middle.

Skating with washers and no top bushing you weenies!

Me  too.

Advantages: Training! Not taking "control" or pop for granted! Revamping style and technique.

Disadvantages: Pushing like an 8 year old. Losing all your tricks. Losing pop (I am of the superstition that that's actually true).

What the fuck are you talking about?

I'd guess skating through the street and swerving away from a car at the last second.  I've seen friends who ride much tighter trucks have to run off their boards and see them get run over.

That actually makes sense. I feel like people are attributing shit to loose trucks that ain't right though. Like "Loose trucks cured my herpes, everytime I tighten them down I get an outbreak"

There is no valid reason to not bomb hills.

What your going to stay on the top of the hill when there's lava in the area? I say straightline it and get the fuck out of there.

i love that split second in time when you're bombing a hill and you decide: "i'm going too fast to powerslide at this point, the end of the hill isn't that far away, no choice but to point this shit and hope for the best"

well, got some new indys the other day & was thinking of this thread because for the 1st time I was having a hellofa time getting them as loose as I like without the nut falling off. Tried using my old bushings but same deal - something about stage 10s maybe? (these were my 1st) but ended up removing the top washer & now it's good. Kinda weird to have that trouble with new trucks tho.
