Worst/Best Fit on a skate team
« on: August 09, 2011, 12:02:53 PM »
Post who you think best fits the mold on a skate team, and who doesn't fit at all. Do you get what I'm saying?

I already bitched about this but I cant stress this enough; Alex Olson on Girl! Really, a below average "soul" skater without any particular skill in any aspect of skateboarding, no more than ok style, what did I miss? I admit, BA is far from SOTY level these days but still is a monster on a skateboard. Everybody else are technical wizzards, exactly the kind of skating Girl has always been known for. I mean, Koston, Carroll, McCrank, Mike Mo, Malto, Mariano, Biebel, Olson, whose name does not fit? Every time I see a photo/video with Alex I get second hand embarressent from how hard he is fighting his own limitations, it is pathetic. There is no room for him on that squad. Ollie over a table, boardslides, hippie jumps while the rest ot the team is pushing the boundaries forward. Poor thing must cry his eyes out during demos over how he is no better than a hot local.

Feel free to disagree, I know many of you love him for some reason. Personally I see no reason for Alex to be an amature, let alone professional skater. Let us say he would skate for Roger or something small, then I would not bitch. Him having his name printed on a Girl board is an insult. I would be way happier if Forrest would take his place, he deserves it way more than Alex.

jack curtin on fallen is still stupid

cant name them but a few baker and deathwish skaters could interchange positions, but not braydon szafranski, he belongs to baker in his own way

well, I heard from a reliable source that his shoe was/will be put aside and that they consider to kick him off; however, I don't know the exact background
