Adidas Busenitz
« on: September 30, 2011, 03:04:12 AM »
My mate got me a pair of Busenitz 3 stripes, I was fucking stoked.
They seem to not grip as well as other shoes (any other shoe) i've had
before them. I thought i'd just get used to it, but I just cant skate in them.

Anyone else find them to not grip?

I agree, mine still feel slippery after a while.  I can't get used to them.
I actually did hit another skater in the face with my shoe once at a demo doing a shoes fly off kickflip but he was cool with it.

yeah i felt they were a tad slippery... also they didn't last long at all.  like maybe 2 weeks before i tore through em..

i recommend the Ronan's.  similar feel/style to the busenitz, last longer and better grip.

The Busenitz would be a perfect shoe if they changed the group and made it so the tongue doesn't slip to one side. I've had 3 pairs and it does take a while to wear the grip in but once that's done they skate amazingly.

The Ronan's basically picked up on all the faults of the Busenitz and I'm loving my pair right now. Skate perfect straight out of the box.

loved th ronan's. couldn't skate the buz either. just. never felt right. i know some cat's who love them. so i guess its all preference..
i'd def get another pair or ronan's. won't touch th buz again till they improve the grip.

I've found its easier to do tricks going about mach 10 in the buse's.

on a sidenote, Adidas needs tongue straps. i dont care if youre trying to be all OG and shit, we like tongue straps damnit!

I liked them alot, never had problems with grip.
The toe is shaped perfect for flicking and the lace holes are kind of recessed into the shoe so you rarely rip laces
Not the most durable shoe because those stripes tend to catch on to the grip ,
but overall i thought it was worth because they skate so nice.
On my second pair right now, I'll probably try the Ronans next though.

Does the Ronan fit the same as the Busenitz, size-wise? I'm having similar problems with grip but I love the overall feel of the shoe.

the size is the same but the busenitz feels like it is narrower and has a slimmer\lower toecap
