Pet Peeves in Videos

What are some of yrs?

- Not being able to hear the sound of the skating
- Titles for each skater in the friends section (See Static 3, I didn't mind it in Boyish though with the full screen titles)
- Re-used footage. Footage that's already been used in another video
- The same spot appearing at various times during the part.

starting a line with a fakie trick. it always looks like theyre rolling in the opposite direction and then when they do the trick it fucks your mind and you have to rewatch it to find out what trick it was

I hate when the filmer turns the camera around to film their own reaction to the trick.
Look I'm not selling anything that doesn't have my jizz on it. I don't care how much is offered.

-video parts where clips of non-skating are repeatedly placed between the skating.  You end up getting two minutes of skating from a supposed four minute part.

-videos that you buy primarily just to watch a certain skater's part only to find they have half a dozen tricks in a "team montage".  (i.e. Habitat's newest video Origin, Kerry Getz' and Tim O'Connor's parts)

-HD footage

Headphones or shoe laces dangling.
Someone starting off doing a line and doing a 180 trick, then turning around just to get back to normal stance.

An abundance of super 8 footage

Transworld video editing

Lil Wayne soundtrack

Bigspins in lines then continue pushing the way they were earlier (AVE in Mindfield is an exception)

Guest tricks where you can't tell the difference between them and the guy who has the part

When enders are 2 angles but both slow motion

kickflip manual

I'm hyped on $LAVES edits. I think they make it work for sure.

Back to back clips of the same trick at a different spot.

Badly filmed rolling long lens.

Feet cut off in lines during HD fisheye.

HD sound in general. The pop sounds weak.

HD footage is slow-mo simply for the fact that it's HD.

China and a lot of Barcelona footage might as well be skatepark footage.

not being able to hear the skateboard sounds, i cant stand that.

and this is a big one but mainly applies to modern online video distribution. lots of big name clips are released online and they are 3 - 4 minutes a pop. I hate watching the time slider creep down for half the video, often more and there is nothing but lifestyle shots or arty crap. then the skating is over in a flash and i'm left pissed off.

not that it should be a big deal. but the battle at the berrics clips were always like this and a good example. I was honestly psyched to watch pros play skate but 3/4 of the videos were the rules, or pre and post game messing around. who gives a shit lets get to the skating.

clips where the camera is zoomed in on only the skaters feet and the board and shitty filming in general

clips that are edited super quick, most annoying is when the clip starts and the trick is already popped or board is already flipping

shitty song that doesn't match the skater or the skating

haha i feel like a lot of these about high fives and friends reactions are aimed at chickenbonenowison. i also hate mixing hd and sd though and when steady shot is left on during fisheye clips.

What? I mean, what do you do when you get to a handrail? It just reminds me of skatepark kids that learn how to boardslide a handrail, then boardslide every handrail and think they're raw.
