Nothing else even comes close to the "differentness" of Memory Screen. So shocking and unique that people still compare anything "artsy" in a skate video with it 20 years later. Mesmerizing. It says on the original box, "This video is intended to be watched in total darkness and with stereo speakers." If you have never watched it like that, make sure you do.
That video changed my life. Thank you, Mike Hill.

The fact that they sync'ed the entire intro's editing to the music between two VCRS using pause/record buttons is a pretty hefty feat in itself. That's a lot of trial and error, right there. For some reason I absolutley love the Rocket Man montage.

This video was before my time but its amazing compared to other videos at the time. Pretty much set a new standard in editing and art direction. Alien always puts out the best videos on my opnion.

Same here.

So I watched Dyrdek's part last night, and I just realized how crazy his part was for that time, nosegrind tailgrabs, blunt shove board 180? Mind blowing for 1991. Video days and Memory Screen my be that two most influential videos of all time.

Really wish Alien would put their old videos on DVD. Alot of my friends would never have heard of Memory Screen or Time Code, I feel like my generation is missing out.

True story, a friend of mine's grandma is one of the people in a car during one of the interludes.

One of the greatest videos ever, really shows how good Rob was back in the day, he has never put a part that has lived up to this one.

pitre has been skating a little bit (saw him doing kickflip back lips on miniramp about a year ago); he's also doing a board brand called preservation skateboards with James Lapuyade who used to skate for Torque (thomas taylor's old company).
