From Chromeball.  The very first Thrasher Mag I ever looked at had a story on the 'street comp" in Eugene, Oregon.  This was a photo from that.  I was in the 8th grade and it was 1986...Jesus, 27 years ago.  Fuck I'm old.  Note the rain.

That trick blew my mind at the time. He comes outs regs too, so much control. I think the footage was used in the credits of Sight Unseen(I think). I wondered why it was pushed back to the credits. Maybe they didn't like how the flag idea turned out.

Totally agree with you. this is one of the best photos and tricks ever done and also blew my mind.

First, getting that enormous flag as a prop and bringing it to Oceanside high when that place was the hugest bust, at night, and doing a basically NBD trick on a rail that big (and on the far right side with the drop off).

Second, at a time when the A-Lo tailslide-obligatory-to-fakie reigned supreme, he came out forward.

Swift shot it perfectly, and the fisheye photo of it is awesome too.

The footage wasn't used because it was a little sketchy on the ride away and I'm pretty sure goes from wheels on the ground --> slightly starts to get away from him --> baker maker.  Not a bail at all, 100% countable in my book, but I guess it didn't live up to the standards of Heath/Jon's professional scrutiny.

source: saw the original footage on heath's laptop

Picked up a copy of the Deluxe Edition DC Video at a pawn shop.

Might be one of my favorite photos ever.  I apologize for it being sideways, I don't know anything about computers and I tried briefly but failed to find another link of this photo on the internet already.

I thought there was a different/better angle but maybe I'm just thinking of the footage. Regardless,

'Fuck Tom Knox': There is a bank to curb spot in Bakersfield that my friends and I knew as the McDonald's banks. At some point, for whatever reason, the locals spray painted 'Fuck Tom Knox' on them.

Tom Knox - 'Troops of Tomorrow' Santa Cruz (1991)

I figured out how to add video... The banks are at 2:00.

Edit: I have no pictures. That happened a little before this video came out.
