Is Amadeus good? The poster beckons me, but it's 3 hours of movie.
[close]

It's one of the best films ever made.

I tried to look it up on Netflix and it's not streaming. Come on people!

Might be only on BR Netflix then. It advertised to me all of the time. I mentioned the movie to a lot of people and they told me that Netflix customizes suggestions on the main page and all. The film is great and thanks to everyone who chimed in.

Ah, my bad.

Decided to watch Inglorious Bastards again, since it's been several years and they recently put it on Netflix. The undergorund bar scene is awesome on so many levels.

This show is one of my favourite shows ever. So bummed that there wasn't a third season.

ok, on the kooky end of netflix: salt and rock. that movie boggled my mind. and krauss was played by krauss [scientist in real life]. odd film.
on the better side of things:" el chapo. it's neat to see him start small and going to see pablo escobar is like skating in front of powell and peralta back in the day, granting you a life of riches [or death if you bail your flatground routine].

Bateman can definitely do it all.

I get kind of a bloodline feel, granted I'm only 3 episodes deep. Just when i thought I was out.... Netflix pulls me back in

I'm digging this show so far.  It definitely has a Breaking Bad/Bloodline-type of feel to it.

What's funny is that even though it's obviously not a comedy it seems like he's still playing Michael Bluth.  Still has that same sense of  humor and the smart-ass remarks, just the setting is different.  Makes me wanna re-watch AD next.

That scene where he fucks his wife in the exact way from the video of her and her "lover" is pretty priceless.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

That reminds me, the new season of Arrested Development will be a murder mystery theme of Lucille 2. Apparently won't be like last season where each episode just has one family member in it, they seemed to learn from that lesson and they even admitted that season wasn't that great

Forgive me if someone already posted this, I didn't feel like digging back to far. If you enjoy older horror movies, I would recommend "The Void". It has elements that reminded me of a mix of The Thing, House of 1000 Corpses, and Hellraiser while still being all its own. Worth a watch if you like messed up movies.

Killzone 2 (aka SPL 2) with Wu Jing and Tony Jaa was pretty good and the end fight was great.

No connection to the original Sha Po Lam except for the pessimistic vibe. Wu Jing was a bad guy in the first one, now he's the lead.

One of the better HK offerings I've seen on Netflix recently.

I kind of hate myself for how much I'm loving this show called "Crazy ex-girlfriend". It's a sitcom/musical but they maybe to like 2 or 3 songs in an episode and the episodes are 40 minutes long but it's fucking hilarious

The documentary over the author of the Anarchist Cookbook was pretty good...it's called American Anarchist, I think.

Watched the documentary "Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead" about National Lampoon.  Pretty great watch... I always loved looking at some of those old N.L. magazines (similar to Mad but way more adult and way more harsh).  A lot of drugs, sex and amazing comedy.

Interesting when they started doing records/radio and all the Second City guys came in, which were basically a who's who of the funniest people to ever walk the planet: Belushi, Chevy Chase, Bill and Brian Murray, Gilda Radner, Harold Ramis, etc..  and how they were all stolen for SNL, and eventually went on to make those great movies.

Great watch!

We should change this thread title to "streaming networks" rather than just netflix. That said, I'm finally getting around to watching Goliath on Amazon Prime. The end of the second episode hooked me. My wife and I have also been watching Orphan Black and The Americans.

What are other peoples thoughts on the new season of wet hot american summer 10 years later? I'm only 5 episodes in and I just think it's "meh". Only parts I laughed at were when Paul Rudd gets into verbal arguments with the kid camper. I mean it's not horrible but really not that funny either

Started watching a new Netflix show, Atypical. I think it's pretty hilarious in a more aggressive Napoleon Dynamite kind of way, I feel like I binge watched it to the 6th episode but then again the episodes are 30 minutes and not 50 minutes to an hour. But fuck it

Don't know if anyone mentioned it already, but I watched St. Vincent last night and I thought it was pretty good.  Really liked Bill Murray's acting in it.

Norm MacDonald's stand-up...only heard of the guy becausee Todd Francis mentioned him and Louis C.K. as influences in an interview. It was a bit slow but pretty good. The guy also does the voice-over for the pigeon in Mike Tyson Mysteries.

norm is a legend, he also used to do 'weekend update' on snl in the better years. you should watch a movie he stars in called 'screwed' with dave chappelle, it used to crack me up when i was a kid.

as for stand-ups.. i don't know if it's been brought up in here yet but the newest joe rogan special on netflix is amazing.

imagine fucking the dog shit outta chris roberts
