To be honest, I'm not seeing the difference. Burton may be a "corporation" but it is owned by Jake Burton, who is a singular entity. Rob would basically be following Jake Burton's lead and purchasing DNA to start his own "corporation". I would imagine eventually he would be licensing other brands to be distributed by his new distro, potentially Rogue Status, Young & Whatever that his nephew or cousin does.
If anything it could be really hard to purchase DNA and continue business as usual. Habitat footwear is, I'd assume, done through Burton much like Gravis, and could lose some of their manufacturers in the process.
Who knows. This could be a good thing, or a bad thing. But as it's been said pretty often, Burton has no effect on the daily runnings of AWS and Habitat.
