Word is that the Chief tryed to snub those Albany dudes by putting the directions to the pool in the article while talking shit, and Phelps and the editors backed Albany by editing it out, thats why the article says "we got reliable contacts in Albany from Charlie Wilkins, it got wierd from there-" Then cut immediatley to the philly paragraph. Looks like Albany got the last laugh.

Saddest thing is is that when i was a seed, the first pro i ever saw in a demo was Jamie Thomas, at an invisible demo, and was in aghh, very ironic, seeing how i don't like the dude or his image or the image of what his companies convey...that's my opinion and im entitled to it, good for dude to come up and do what he did, a regular lil' orphan annie JT is, but what it boils down to is dude didn't get directions and had a hissy fit over the phone, because he is who he is and didn't get what he wanted, we told him if he found it have fun and respect it, its a rad spot to skate, they found it hung shit from the trees like blair witch project and got dissed by thrasher in the end. This seems like one of those typical situations where it was probably a huge deal to the dudes in Albany and not such a big deal to The Chief. The Chief is The Chief, afterall...he runs several companies, deals with scads of team riders while holding down a family and a pro career. I'm just saying that I can't imagine someone that busy and important losing even a night of sleep over a pool in Albany.
But the story will be legendary in Albany because, well...it's Albany.

But I mean if that's the word on the street, then it's the word on the street. I haven't even been on the street for several days so anything could have happened in that time.

i dont agree, thats just plain disrespect to the locals of albany and he knew it, when people are nice enough to take you to a spot thats super secret and in a descreat location and then you go and try to publish the location and directions in a widely read magazine then your pretty much an asshole
