New(?) Adidas Seeley model

They look dope. Like, very dope. I've been skating square two's and the etnies barge LS (very chukka-like, and VERY similar to the first blood, if you didn't know), and I love them very much.

However, I recently ordered a pair of campus vulcs to skate in once my barges die, and despite all the good things I hear about them, I'm thinking they might end up being a tad too bulky for me.

These seeleys look right up my alley: a little more padded than the adi ease, but less padded than the campus vulcs, and the shape looks like something I'm more familiar with. Also, the laces being pushed up keeps me from having to ever change laces (the laces on my squares twos finally gave out at virtually the same time my ollie area developed a hole. Just how I like it).

Anyone ever skate a pair of these? A few websites already have them, including buskateshoes.com. Maybe I'll be one of the firsts and I'll let you guys know what's up...but I still have to blow through my etnies first (still relatively new) and we're starting to get heavy snow now. Shit sucks.

Every shoe looks at least vaguely like another shoe. Deal with it. Or maybe you can be cool and unique with your D3s...

who's gonna cop a pair? Come on. Please! I'll be your best friend! I can't even remember the last time I spent more than $50 on a pair of shoes...Really, I don't think any of the shoes in my closet were more than $50 - most were $40-ish.

I don't really see how these are at all like the Janoskis other than looking like another slim skate shoe. I like them a lot though.

I like it so much better when they base it on whats unique about Adidas shoes. Busenitz,skate, ronan and ciero all look really Adidas, this is just some generic looking skateshoe. The Adi ease looked better in my.
That new Busenitz shoe also was boring as hell.

That shoe is part of what adidas used to call coastal shoes. Kind of skate, more lifestyle.
They use lesser materials and the soles aren't as grippy and insoles and fits aren't as good either.
More widely available than the true skate line which consists of the busenitz,silas,lucas,campus vulc,skate,adiease.

I always lol when people think shoes look like other shoes. The janoski is not original. Not even vans were original. People need lines and stitching to make footwear, and they are strategically placed for performance+aesthetic. The lines drawn on Janoskis and chukkas were on shoes before shoes were even mass produced. Cut off a chukka, use the vans Sk8 hi toe cap and bam!- janoski. This will never end because there is a limit to placement of lines that work for skate shoes.
