On the NEXT EPISODE:

More INDOOR PARK FOOTAGE! Plus, Steve and Rodney continue to undo years of awesome skating and solid reps by dancing like trained monkeys for the corporate dollar & acting like the biggest douchebags in the world to a bunch of kids who are skating their hearts out.

Stay tuned!

I love "On the NEXT EPISODE" posts.  :D

i skate with mikey sometimes at the local park and he said the producers told him to one up the kid at the hubba to create "drama." and also he said theres no winner; they sent everyone home. So I have no idea how this years OIAMs gonna end.

that's terrible.
Call me crazy, but at least this episode was rational. If they had nothing but street skating footage and every few episodes had a recap or even judging (based on footage)it might be cool, of course, last episode was coloring. They called them out on the right things, though apparently that was staged. its all shitty, but had hints of positivity.
Also, wasn't the point of the coloring contest that Mikey got immunity? Why even put him up there and tell him he can stay?
Steve Rodriguez: "Nate, as you know, I know you"
My favorite part was the really stupid interview. These poor kids have to answer the dumbest questions:
assumed question: What do you have to say about your sketchy landings?
John:  I'd like to land bolts every time...
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”
I quit skating for a time due to piling out

I cannot convey the hate clearly enough.

So the producers told mikey to one up the kid, and then mikey gets shit for it from the judges? This is horrible. At what point does everybody leave? Thats what I really wanna see.

anyone else find it annoying how when the 'judges' were rattling off people's tricks, they didn't even show all the clips being mentioned, like mike's kickflip of 'that huge street gap'. even on an episode focussed on footage it was again hugely overshadowed by forced dialogue, ugh.

so weak if that's true about him being told to do the 5-0 as well.

this left me feeling not so stoked on skateboarding.

a harsh reminder to the unspoken "rules" in skateboarding.

seems so distant from the simple act of going out and just crushing the streets with your homies, then being stoked on how far you progressed each other in terms of tricks done at spots. the whole thing wreaks of a not so friendly smell...

judges, prizes, having your board destroyed because you lose...

pass the board onto a kid who needs it instead of rendering it useless, be stoked that kid skated the ledge like nobody else and he immediately sparked the inspiration for another trick to go down it. i saw progression, not one upping.

but hey, who i am i to speak, just somebody pushing through the streets with no sense of direction other than which way rolls better.

yea i feel you on the harsh reminder opinion; this whole thing reinforces all those weak unspoken rules.
the benihana's are cool, complaining about the kid's sketchy landings is soft, and mikey's 5-0 didn't seem like one-upping to me -- for them to criticise the kid for that just seems petty.

cats is nice but I aint seen god since hova spit that navy blue to me

This is so depressing, this show sux...

I feel sorry for these guys, all the judges chewing them out about how "trainwreck makes" are not gonna cut it and just to "put in more work" garbage....

Why do a format like this? I don't get it, it has a really bad vibe, sorry...
