It's over saturation. This shit is  just getting old. I wish they used all new people this time around. As much as I like to see Mike Mo, I already know he will get somewhere close to the finals and that kind of makes every match lame with him.

It seems like it's become a bit dry. 1 and 2 were more fun. How did they kill it? The Koston / Berra idea is pretty weak. Reda should go back to giving people shit. The whole serious contest chit is terrible. What trick are you going to do first? Who gives a fuck?

Looks like Theotis hardly has any board control on flat.

This. His flat game did not smooth at all. Maybe he hasnt been skateing lately...who knows.

Nah, it was whack. The judging on the past two games has been pretty shoddy.

Tom popped his bigspin, marquise didn't. That's why he had to re-do it.

It's relatively boring unless PJ is in the battle, or someone is getting really weird. I enjoy seeing pressure flips, late flips, and other oddities.

Sorry, but you're wrong.  That guy was the best part.  I kept thinking that I was about to watch an awesome cop movie instead of that boring match.

indeed it was like the score to lethal weapon or a sleazy 80's exploitation cop porn drama. Now that would have sweet.

battle at the berrics has well and truly lost its steam. I don't know how long i've been saying it but they need to lose the rules, anything goes! I honestly dont care who wins this time. and i really dont care which team wins. I think i'm watching out of habit more than anything.

fuck flatground period man if they REALLY wanna get on some interesting shit they needa start playing games on certain obstacles. Flatbars, stairs, manny, transition...it wouldnt be some huge 100 man tournament but if you got the right people in each bracket that would seriously be worth watching. i know berra or one of his employees is reading this, yall needa take notes forreal. if you were to actually do it tho at least let me get on my Steezus Christ shit. i got that charisma for tha camera nahmean?

I like Marquise a lot, but that motherfucker should be able to do a bs bigspin properly. Personally, I would have counted that particular one as it wasn't really sliding around like your typical cheater ones, but unpopped bigspins didn't fly since before Berrics rules. I expected a lot more out of him, but it's clear he didn't give a flying fuck.

Also, Saxman made this game almost worth the watch. Hating on him is futile.

that would actually be tight. shit has gotten really dry. even if it's 2 people playing that i actually give a shit about (very rare). during the first 2 i would know each game that was coming out & when. i'd stay up later then i'd planned just to watch games. blah blah blah. now i forget that shit is even going on till it's over or close to being over & then go back and watch a few games before i get bored & realize why i forgot about them. hopefully this one will be better.

imagine fucking the dog shit outta chris roberts

one time i saw some kids playing LINES instead of SKATE. there was a ledge on one side and a flatbar on the other.

they would do a trick on the ledge, a flatground trick, and a trick on the flatbar.

that would be a good way to change it up. im sure if some 14 years olds in venice can do it, the top pros/ams can too.

There used to be some segment in the Berrics where two guys went head to head trying to get a certain trick on the hardrail. Usually it took each one like 8 tries to get it, so a whole game of SKATE would probably be a bit on the boring side...

Weirdo tricks (as requested ever since the first BATB) could be fun, some game might go down with just 5 stupid no-comply variations but, thinking back to the Mike V vs Chris Cole match, I'm sure some of the guys could hang.

you're talking about the one trick battle royals. Obstacle SKATE is much faster paced than having 2 guys try to land a single difficult trick before the other one. the trick consistency has to be more at a more contest run level. Flatground tricks are cool but not every good skater is a master at flip tricks, there are other things that should be showcased as well. imagine a tournament between guys who kill mini-ramps like daewon, cody mcentire, etc., playing S.K.A.T.E. on quarterpipe setting various tricks they can do 1st try...Tell me that wouldnt be sick!

jimi- you're from KC right?  I am moving back in a month.  Is KC getting a lot of notice now because of Malto and how hard Escapist reps the city?  It seems like a lot of dudes are getting recognized out of there.
I live in St. Joseph which is like the Clippers compared to The Lakers. Just in time for summer, hit me up when you get there. I'm sure OldCasual would be down too. I really think that's the main reason KC has been getting so much attention, is because in every video Malto reps KC harder than anybody before.

I am a rusty ass old dude, but I would love to get out and just push around.  I don't know anyone who skates there since I've been gone since 2006.  There definitely looks to be some spots.

St. Joe, dude?  Here's a funny ass story that has nothing to do with The Berrics.  But a lot to do with St. Joe (which is where I always describe as "where you go to give up."  Sorry, man!)

I had a homie come in town back when I first lived there in the early 00s and he wanted to do a serious night out.  We went to The Velvet Dog over by Rainbow Blvd at 3pm and didn't leave until 2am.  Our fucking tab was about $450 because my homie, Andy, ran into a girl's night out and bought a couple rounds like an idiot.  Anyway, we weren't done so we went to the Isle of Capri Casino.  I hadn't even picked by blackjack table when Andy comes up and says, "Yo, we gotta hit it.  I just lost my pants."  I asked him how much and he just looked at me and held up four fingers.  He lost FOUR bills in about 20 minutes.  Ridiculous.  Anyway, we leave and I am going to find us a hotel because it's about 4am and we somehow wound up over in the Bottoms by all those industrial looking places.  I am drunk driving like an idiot and telling Andy that this is exactly where Nicholson became the Joker in the OG Batman movie.  The Axis Chemical Plant!  Haha!  I decide I am too drunk and I drive back to the casino and we pass out.  I wake up to Andy moving my feet off the dash which he tells me he is doing because this sketchy looking dude is looking like he's gonna rob us.  I wake up later.  It's daylight out now and Andy is driving with the windows down and he's drinking a can of beer and smoking a cigarette and singing some classic rock song.  I fall back asleep, and the last thing I remember is staggering into a hotel room.  I wake up and I am all panicky because I don't know where I am.  I go wander around and I don't recognize shit so I ask the front desk.

"You're in St. Joseph, MO, sir."  St. Joe is about an hour and a half from where I was living.  Fucking Andy.  I don't even know how/why he went there and neither does he.  But seriously, that town sucks!
St. Joe is just strange. we just spent thousands of dollars on sidewalks that NOBODY uses. hahaha just don't get drunk and end up in the south end, you'll wake up to the smell of slaughtered pigs and dirty white people. That entire night sounds like the perfect precursor to ending up in Tha Joe.
