Got the BLVD decks. I really like their shape; wide nose/tail low concave, they remind me of some Girl shapes.
I like the shape better than the blueprint boards posted a few months ago.

I bought 13 boards.  None warped.  I'm selling half at $30 to pay for the other half.  What a fucking steal.

Be careful with the Amazon boards.  I've had 2 friends purchase Stereo boards that ended up warped

Why the hell would they buy off Amazon when they can buy off you?

Exactly.  Tax-free to boot.  I was willing to risk it and go through the returns process if I needed to so I can reap this reward.

I got five 8", five 8.5" and three 8.75".

Cheaper than a blank or shop board.  Unless they have any prior knowledge about the Amazon sale, kids will be stoked.

I've been riding 8" boards again so I'm okay if those don't sell at all.

I'm not shitting where I eat either.  I like the dude who runs the skate shop here so I'm only slanging boards out of my trunk when I travel around.

Got 4 8.25 BLVDs. None are warped and the shapes/concaves are good.

They're not for hanging, they're for slanging.

I got the Rodrigo Peterson 8.5 today. It was super warped and it was 8.3. They blacked out the 8.3 on the barcode sticker, but it had the BLVD sticker under the shrink that said 8.3. Returning it later.

All good. I bought three of the Tribe decks. One for the wall, one to skate, and one to give away was the plan. Honestly it's too heavy and wide for my tastes so i'll probably give the one to skate away as well.

Just got my 3 BLVD's in today. 2 are solid, but 1 is warped :( Sucks it had to be the Toya's Cuts board cause I wanted to skate that one.

And to the post above me, yeah you can easily tell if a board is warped. Just hold the board at eye level and look at the tail to the nose & from the nose to the tail. You'll see it a little better upside down as well, but the awkward bend/misalignment should be easily spotted. Or if you really can't tell that your board is warped....just actually set the board up, you'll definitely see it with the trucks and wheels on.

I have skated a warped foundation Corey Duffel board before.  Yeah, it's obvious from looking at it.  If you've got more than one board with the same concave, you can nest them together and easily find the oddball, too.

1 of my BLVD boards is warped.  not terribly, but it's definitely there.

all in all, really glad I bought a shitload of these things.  nothing more satisfying that having a stack of boards setting around knowing you can treat the one you're skating with the utmost disrespect.  the red Clint Peterson board has a wonderful shape.

let's talk removing graphics now... what will work other than the obvious can of black spraypaint?

I skate warped boards from time to time. It's not ideal, but depending how bad the warp is, it doesn't really affect your skating. It's more mental/annoying than anything.

Removing graphics is tricky...I've used nail polish remover in the past but that also strips the lacquer on the wood. I don't think it's great for the integrity of the wood. I'd just hit it with a disc sander and fine grit sandpaper.

i've been using a spray on paint stripper... it works fast but makes a big mess. The best way is definitely to just hand sand it. disc sander will make it look real fucked up.
