If you have a cool local shop then support them for sure but as far as online shops go, skatewarehouse has to be one of the best. It's weird how they have this kid ccs vibe to them but I went to their shop last spring and everyone working there is super nice and skates, their warehouse was full of skateboarders as well.

haha I was most likely working the store, glad you didn't think I was a dick. Or maybe a less dickish person than myself was working. Either way, I get stoked when out-of-town skaters come by and check it out and see that pretty much everyone here is a skateboarder. We're definitely working on shedding the "kid ccs" vibe- getting some more skate content going, a team, and our own branded stuff to give a better idea of what we're about. Growing up in San Diego and having access to tons of different cool shops, I personally am all about supporting your local. But here in SLO we are the local shop... haha. Hey, if your local doesn't have something you're looking for there's a good chance we do...

that's a plus for sure.

Wonder where they're moving to? Their shipping/area was like in Santa Barbra, I would get my order in 2 days via UPS ground.

Probably buy a bunch of crap in this sale.

I was going to buy another pair of NB Ladd's but they won't ship overseas (also the Magenta/Etnies jacket)...

Does anyone know why this is so on certain stuff?

Still a good sale though. 25% on everything is great.

Just another area of the town we're in, shipping will all be the same.

SoleTech has international distributors, so they don't want their US accounts shipping overseas. I think NB is the same way but not exactly sure on that one.

The sale section has got some good deals too, plus 25% off stuff thats already marked at cost... I'll probably be copping stuff at sale price today.

I work in toy sales, we have non export/non compete clauses in our retail agreements
sometimes they're really stupid and sometimes they are to protect the interest of their other
partners. For some brands, it may be cheaper to pay the extra $30 to buy products from
America than to buy locally.

As far as I know, New Balance doesn't even sell skate shoes out here in Hong Kong.

I was able to buy a pair at Tactics, seems strange to differ between shops...

Two sets of cruiser wheels, a set of those Rush ceramic bearings (all weather), and a wallet from SW. I had money sitting in paypal after being reimbursed for some shady crap Go Daddy tried to pull on one of my domain names.

If you're doing park wheels, I'd go with the ricta park burners. I've been riding them in the bowls, and I am digging the increase in speed.
