switch heels are completely unrelated to regular ones.  it's usually the case that most people have them good switch, and an unremarkable regular one
is that a matter of fact?

i aint even tryna be funny or anything but in all my years of skating ive seen this with about 90% of all white people. mugs be landin some the hardest tricks but still be gettin letters in SKATE on fakie heels n shit. i dont even understand like, you can do em perfect switch but not regular? its the same motion!

Its the opposite for me. I can do regular and fakie heelflips and heelflip variations just fine. I can't do nollie heelflips or switch heelflips, but I can do variations, like switch varial heel, nollie backside heel, whatever. it's fucked.

I agree with this. I don't know if most people necessarily have them better switch, but plenty of dudes do, and switch heels almost always look different than regular heels.  Something about facing forward more for regular ones (for me at least). Frontside flips also have a weird regular/switch relationship.  I've seen tons of fools with perfect sw fs flips but awful regular ones.

It's true. If you watch BATB you see someone like Shane Oneil or Prod and their regular Heel flips suck, but their switchheels are crazy like

I love a good heelflip, and I used to have a prettty good one back in the day -if it matters i'm about as white as it gets, blond hair and everything. Haha. Now I can bust them out sometimes, not very often. Don't have the proper technique anymore. I think fakie heels are easier than regular ones nowadays. I do have really crappy switch heels pretty much on lock though. LOL!

I tend to lean forward and cause them to slightly turn backside when I'm riding regular.

I have a problem keeping my shoulders straight when doing them switch too. I kick downward and nosebonk the ground with them sometimes.

My nollie and fakie heels are my best.

I can fakie heel like 3 feet high, fool!

ima tell yall the key right here. grip your toes (more or less) around the edge of the board and have your foot somewhere mid-board. do the ollie motion but focus on making the rear-half of your shoe roll off where you can see your wheel. you dont really have to flick it out but just make sure the board has plenty of room to pop & rotate. i like to place my back foot at somewhat of an angle on the pocket of the board but its not necessary, just make sure you have as much of your back heel hanging off as you do your front toes so the board stays parallel while flipping.  have your knees bent for how high you wanna pop & make sure your shoulders are 100% balanced & inline with the rest of your body. im high right now & dunno how much sense thats gonna make typin it out but do em like that and you'll land them perfect everytime.

EDIT: keep your back straight & centered with your shoulders as well

I can't do heelflips to save my life, switch or regular. And that goes for all variations too EXCEPT for varial heel. For some reason i can do decent varial heels but I can't do any other heelflip tricks to save my life. I can almost do front heels too but haven't actually landed a good one yet.

This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

I'm the exact opposite. I can heelflip all day. Fakie, backside, frontside, whatever. All of them except varial heels. I've spent hours trying to get them and can barely even get them to form. Fuckin varial heels.

After his fakie heel in Mindfield, nobody should be allowed to do fakie heels anymore.

This guy...

I've got no problem with Neen's heelflips. Every am on the come up is so good nowadays - every one can do every trick it seems - so you've gotta come up with some point of difference if you want to make the cut. His ninja kicks make for good photos at least, as opposed to the spread eagle three sixty flips and shove its that are all the rage for some reason.

I didn't check to see if anyone has mentioned it yet. But the fakie heel down the stairs Julian Davidson did in his new part was badass. Probably the best one I've seen.
Going into to business with Vallely is the skateboarding equivalent of starting a land war in Asia, just don't.
