Played the first - hated.
Playing the second - thoroughly enjoying, but it's just too sandbox at times. I can't take the world seriously, I can't take my death seriously, I can't take the plot or my actions seriously. It just seems like the Renaissance Fun Simulator. There's no risk in climbing shit when all you do is hold down two buttons and posit a direction - it'd feel so much more accomplished if it implemented a system like Shadow of the Colossus's, where you had to power up your jumps.

So, long story short, the whole series I feel is gooked and this'll be just yet another installation in the Climb Shit and Press Square to Assassinate Series.

I never got into the previous games, until I saw this trailer.
Pretty sure it releases October 30th which is cool.
All in all, I'm excited.

I would advise you to play Assassin's Creed 2 at least. Its a video game classic really. Starts off kinda slow as you go from regular young man to master assassin but once you get a few hours in its a brilliant game. Brotherhood and Revelations are great too although their stories wouldn't be fully understood without playing AC2 first

Thanks man! I'm going to rent that soon then! Currently playing Red Dead.

I haven't gotten much time to play at all. But when I do. I take my time and enjoy it. I agree, the first few hours and sequences are sluggish. I just got into sequence 5 today. And it's been my favorite so far. The landscape is beautiful. The tress, rocks, water, hunting. I have been roaming around climbing up cliffs and free falling into the water from the tallest point. Truly beautiful. This will be the first game I want to put 100+ hours into.

How do you guys feel about it?

I'm in sequence 3, I've given up on trying to 100% everything. Gets infuriating.

Yeah man, I never planned on doing that because I just wanted to have fun playing my way.

I got Assassins Creed Liberation for the Vita. Its getting shit on by a few reviewers for frame rate drops and muddy textures but its much better than what reviews are saying. It is Assassins Creed on the go, its the full experience, obviously its not nearly as in depth or good looking as the console version but its still really sick.

Im going to be getting Assassins Creed 3 closer to December, hoping to get it on a price drop or by some sort of trade-in/price match. The reviews of this one have gotten me really hyped on the series again.

Got the game a few days ago for under $20, brand new from the actual store that sells them for $70. Hahaha

but that aside, I just finished the main story. I reall loved it all the way up until the end, that is -not to spoil too much- kinda weak.

I'm taking my time and doing every side mission. Clocked in 24 hours today. I never really have that much time to play though.
Everyone is saying that the ending is blah, too.

I got bored, stopped playing at around sequence 8.

everything just felt tedious and the story wasn't that interesting to me

Same here for A.C. 2, I coulod never keep track of who the characters were.  Everyone has some similar super italian sounding names. "Kill giovanni libberace bennichi? Didn't I kill him already?"
"...We got the nuclear worm over here..."

Never forget:
Rusty_Berrings, 360 frip, Yapple Dapple, Bubblegum Tate
