What the hell are you talking about? They don't have a new image... The newer dudes just skate like people who would be on Anti Hero or something. The actual direction of the company is still the same.

Believe it or not, many 17 year olds have gotten very, very drunk, which can cause certain portions of your night to disappear (and have you drunkly posting on SLAP about how rad Sean Malto is because he pop shoved a 16 and drunken MySpace comments on Andrew Murrells account). Also, many teenagers have drank alcohol before.

So you agree they don't fit on choco.

They're not exactly like everyone else on the team, so what? That doesn't mean they don't belong on Chocolate or anything like that. They work hard and will probably sell a ton of boards if and when they become pro. I don't see how anything else matters. And why would you even want everyone on a team to be exactly they same? Are you saying that in order for someone to be on Chocolate they have to be doing manuals, skating cellar doors and ledges, and building wooden benches? That's like saying you have to do drugs to be on Baker or skate 50 stair rails to be on Zero. That's a regular notion. It's good to have a little bit of Diversity on a team. I don't see how that is a problem.

i think the specter of his earlier years straight point blank emulating existing dudes (oh he looks just like cory, oh he looks just like leo) might be tainting the reception of his skateboard gifts. like in the back of their minds people might be wondering who he's biting (in albeit gnarly fashion) now. but he's young so he has plenty of time to mature, although complaining about some things being too punishing at 17 years of age does not bode well. in any case he is crail's new golden boy and in skateboarding there really is no better place to be...so kudos, enjoy your week...and beyond.

In the last 5 years alot of people have gone from wearing skinny Jeans to wearing dickies and what not. Dill is someone who springs to mind, and most people at my local skatepark. The Kid is acting cool because he is riding for vans , Chocolate and whoever else and has just got 3 covers.
More power to him. He is doing way better than I was at 17 or 33 for that matter.

Maybe it gives some insight into his character.

I've spent time with the kid on the road and he's a legit human, not just a great skater.
i dont think he's trying to be anything. he only eats, sleeps and drinks skateboarding.
