90's footy from your home town.
« on: March 02, 2012, 07:38:45 AM »
So a guy from my hometown just put together an edit of a  whole bunch of never used 90's footage from the area. The tapes make for a sick little time capsule to look back on baggier times.

Which begs the question, what did you guys scene look like in 97?

Almost the same , all though I was not close to skating yet. Lots of Muska/Thomas idolizing and kickflips.

SpokAnarchy! Promo- Skate Sequence

Some footage from the late 80's

conSPIRITcy

A legendary local video that was released in '02

Seems like any skateboarding done in the '90s cannot be found online from my city

I remember when that video came out. I've seen it at least 50 times.

Nice. If you were skating Bristo Square in Edinburgh in those days.

Then your scene and my scene were one and the same.

Well im origionally from Ayr, but yeah I remember treking through to Bristo back then. it was fucked because we would change at glasgow and pass Livi so we only made it there about 1/3 of the time we intended.

Man Scotrail is the fucking best. living in Canada makes me miss the trains so much. It was abig part of skating for me back then.

This is from 95/96, and it's almost unwatchable (it was edited via two vcr's, and the rip is from a dub of a dub, plus it was watched consistantly for about 10 years prior to the rip) adn the sound is off, but if you have good eyesight give it a go...
Watchable parts at 18:16, 31:20, 39:30, 42:40 1:24:40
Hrvatine

This one came out in 2000 but most footage is from 1999 afaik. Better filming, editing and rip quality, but with dudes from all over the country, not just my city. Parts/montages worth watching start at 9:15

Toronto area skaters from late 80's early 90ish including Thomas Morgan footage from Torontosaurs and Cheap Skates before he became a skateboard superstar for Alien.

Old skateboard footage
