thats what is holding me back. new skate videos are all about crowding around the tv with your friends, not being hunched over your 13" laptop screen. DRM blows, but no physical releases blows harder.

this and the problem is ... if you live outside the united states ... it is a hard one to get a dvd or even a fresh bluray. it is not like you walk into your localshop and you buy one   :-\

It really is admittedly quite sad how many times I've watched the Alien Workshop section now..

Here's a great moment:

Also meandering around the main topic a-bit, anyone heard the new BBNG album?

It sounds like they've taken the first 10 seconds of Josh Kalis In Mono Section (See below) and made a 5 minute song out of it!

Also, wtf was with Stefan Janoski's switch wallie to switch crooks in that Habitat section???  that thing looked like a straight wall, didn't even look possible, looked CGI or some shit, craze

It's just barely slanted. Like 89 degrees instead of 90 degrees.  (I also did a wallride to hill bomb on it so Stefan just made me feel really bad.)

With a few exceptions, including Beagle's part and the Workshop section, that was just another really stupid(and long) tws video.

Man, I'm loving Manzoori's part more & more. My only gripe is I can't tell who's who most of the time, but it's a perfect part to watch just before rolling out the door.

We're living in the big pants small wheels era of skate videos right now. Filming is getting tech, no one knows what they're doing and the end result looks like complete shit. People talk about internet killing the skate video, but for me it's the current medium. We get fancy saturated colors but the fluid motion and momentum is gone. Filming lines as we know is over, with the 16:9 aspect ratio there's just no room to properly capture what's going on.

Skating was absolute gnarballs from time to time and I hope the video could've done it some more justice. Evan is beast, Dylan is a beast, Jake and Gilbert are both beasts as well while Dennis is a double beast. Dan Wolfe, time has passed you by. That Russell van Houten guy was able to make it stand out as visually pleasing, although very polished.  As an honorable mention, anyone using that dreamy vignetting with skate footage deserves to have their balls chopped off.
