Frontside Flip Appreciation
« on: July 23, 2013, 09:00:52 PM »
If there is one trick that exemplifies style, it's the frontside flip. It's simple, yet so many style points depend upon when you actually catch the board. Back in the late 90's/early 2000's, you'd never hear the end of the argument of who had the better frontside flip, Penny or Reynolds. This was usually followed by a Kasper/Muska hardflip-sex change debate. These days Dylan has one of the meanest frontside flips in the game, but who has your favorite?

Myself. Feels a lot better than watching someone else do one.

Not on Youtube, but Wade Desarmo does one over a handrail in Parental Advisory that is unique and beautiful.

But the right answer to all of this is Reynolds. One of my favs is in Baker 3 at 4:47 here:

It is just so big and clean.

I always liked how Mike Mo did them when he was younger. Nothing too special, just simple.

Can't go wrong with a Reynolds fs flip though

its crazy how even the most amazing, well-rounded stylish person on a skateboard could still have a lackluster frontside flip
