Gilbert Crockett Week
« on: April 09, 2012, 05:14:46 AM »
Today is the first day of Gilbert Crockett Week.
It starts with his brand new Transworld Pro interview
and a couple of his old interviews from THE and Skateboarder.

Gilbert is fucking amazing, but Jake is seriously one of the best forces in skateboarding right now. His interview in that TWS shared article is so on point, thoughtful and inspiring. Whilst it goes against his ethos to revere individualisation, rather than the abstraction /personalisation that is skateboarding, I feel that only slight hyperbole is operating when I say he is the hero that skateboarding both needs and deserves.

Also, both Gilbert's fs noseblunt and Jake's bs one are incredible.

Love Gilbert and his style. Seeing him skating puts a smile on my face - so homo!

[Kinda off topic, but I believe that that Jake Johnson interview shared in the last Transworld deserves its own thread].

Gilbert is fuckin amazing. too much style. and his new shoe is comfortable as fuck. soo stoked on all the footage he puts out. the back smith front 180 in the fallen video is the uber nastiness. and the suntrust or bank of america gap whatever tha place is that he does in the life splicing is just absurd. long live Gilbert!!

Day 2 of Gilbert Week is an Exclusive Interview for the Vans site
where we cover a lot of ground including his madness, that 2nd story grind from Transworld
and the most amazing Dyrdek encounter

Could you guys give me more examples, preferably neither alcohol nor weed/any other drug? they say haslam is pretty healthy, and dunno what to think about zarosh. (not actually implying there's anything actually wrong with drinking [unless you drink way too much])

Haslam is sober last I heard and I know I've heard that about other people but none come to mind. Sorry man, but I know there are others.

And yes, Jake Johnson was wearing the low version of Arto's shoe (the Viking). He said when he first got on here that Gravis makes them specifically for him since they're not for sale anymore. I do hope that Gravis works with him to make some cupsoles for sale though.

I think Haslam is sober, but that doesn't mean he is healthy. I thought he was one of those weirdos that only eats like, 3 different shitty things. Cheeseburger diet type. I could be wrong though.

Stoked for this weeks at Vans.  I didn't watch the shoe episode so I went back to google it just so I could see what his girlfriend looked like.  She's hot.
