^ Yeah, fuck gay people's civil rights! People are too sensitive these days, with their demands of equal protection under the law! Poor Chik Fil A, all they did was donate millions of dollars to oppress others when they didn't have to, they are totally the victims!
Who the fuck tolld people its okay to boycott Chik Fil A! Making decisions in a free market about where we want to spend our own money is so unamerican... They need to pass a law that forces people to go buy food at Chik Fil A to stop these socialists who believe in a free market!
Seriously, are you that fucking stupid that you somehow think that we must tolerate intolerance and oppression? Whatever happened to fighting back against oppression? Or do you only do that when its a "government conspiracy" to take our guns and bibles?
The whole Chick Fil A thing has shown the new racist's mantra is clear as day- "telling me to stop oppressing others is intolerance, and is just as bad as me wanting to deny rights to an entire class or people"
Everytime I hear that, I want to punch the fucking idiot who said that in the face, and if he tries to do anything back say something like "Whatever happened to non-violence?"
Its that stupid.
Why do you buy into the conspiratorial right's BULLSHIT so willngly? You say you are skeptical of mainstream news, that's fine, but why the FUCK do you buy such stupid lines of reasoning from the hard right without ever questioning them?
First of all Gipper, I have to admit I'm biased on the whole Chickfila thing. But you know I'm a libertarian so I believe that everyone should have equal rights and those rights should be protected under law. So I don't know where you're assuming that I think people shouldn't be able to boycott and use the free market. I personally think its a distraction and a waste of time on their part, which I'll get in to. I mean come on though with all that is going on in the country and the world, this is news? An owner of a Christian company that is closed on Sundays was asked what his position on gay marriage was and people act surprised at his response? His beliefs are his right. Chickfila doesn't refuse service to gays or anyone for that matter, in fact I know gays who work for Chickfila. Not to mention Chickfila's are a francaise, so the owner of each store doesn't share the same views as the president of the company. Eitherway he's not infringing on anyone's rights, he's simply giving his honest answer to a question, which probably wasn't the smartest business move, but then again neither is being closed on Sundays. They also didn't donate millions of dollars to oppress anyone, I don't know where you got that bullshit info from, did you read into the companies they donate to? One of them is owned by them and its a marriage counselling group, and the other 2 were family groups. Most likely these groups share the same views as the president of Chickfila but they aren't oppressing anyone, they are Christian though so that should be obvious. Anyway if people don't like their views and wish to boycott them then they can choose not to eat there that's perfectly fine and makes sense, even protesting is fine, but it's a waste of time demagoguing a fast food chain when their rights are already being infringed in the majority of states in this country, why don't they get organized and protest something that will actually gain them something? Because they are completely manipulated by the media, the media plays groups and classes like a fucking violin. Gays fell into this media trap hard, now they are wasting their time with another distraction, chances are the guy who owns the Chickfila down the street from them doesn't share the same beliefs as the president of the company but they'll sure waste their time and effort on him, while idiot politicians who you probably love want to try to block the company from opening a business in their city because of their religious beliefs and first amendment right. At any rate I don't agree with either side, I just get frustrated watching people fall into media traps and distractions over words someone said, and even though I may not agree with them they certainly have a right to say them. Then again looks like I fell into the trap too because I'm on here talking about it. Anyway I wouldn't say Chickfila, they are doing record numbers right now. But to be clear I'm not saying "fuck anyone's civil rights" no one is taking civil rights away here, the sad fact is the rights in question don't even exist in the majority of the country.
Anyway Gipper, you and I agree on this issue I believe, I'm just not as sensitive about the political correctness aspect.
