CCS Exclusive | Lucas Puig For Adidas X Cliche Deck Series

Would be a cool one to have in the collection. Sucks it's CCS exclusive. Can't make the purchase.

by sometime in December, someone should cut together all his footage from this year
it'd be a good Christmas present

I don't see whats so cool about about a deck that is pretty much plain with adidas 3 stripes and an adidas logo. This directly ties into what Sieben was saying about deck graphics losing art and being replaced with more of a sports equipment like design.

^ Because it's a semi-rare pressing, which makes it a collectable. 10 years from now it will be extremely rare, which is pretty much the whole point/pride in having a collection.

I get that, but at the same time I know I can't be the only one who collects boards based off of the art/graphic or rider and company pairing.

what's up with Lucas constantly switching back and forth between thunders and indy's over the past year or so?

Adidas and Nike should start making decks.  Imagine the technology Nike could put into a piece of wood.  Some Dri-fit or something.

Nah, it's usually about the graphic. Especially when a company does an artist series. But collabs are rad too, because they usually only happen once. It's just a cool little piece of history to have.

because the graphics will be scratched beyond recognition in a session, some people prefer simple designs without bright colors and because adidas has always been tight.

i'm on my second one.

i love sieben's art work but his roger stuff isn't really the kind of thing i can get into at my age as far as actually skating on one. bueno on the other hand had graphics that i liked but at 40 weed, satan and boner jokes don't really feel like what i should be sporting on my board when i goto a skatepark full of kids.

Are always funny, no matter the age.
And this season didn't have AS many, yeah there was still a couple carryovers but there are definitely some Bueno-esqe graphics in there. The Nate Broussard boards, the banner year series, but I do agree that minimalism can be nice.

i always think roger's graphics are funny but to me it's like wearing a t shirt. i see tons of funny shirts that i wouldn't want to wear. add to that not wanting to have to explain what a ghost boner is to my 4 year old daughter.

that said, i'm down for roger and i always look at what they have when i buy a board. a nate b board with a bueno ish graphic would definitely work. i'll keep an eye out.

and on the minimalism thing, anyone else remember the unpainted blank trend from the early 90s?
