The benches have been gone from that spot for years - they BYOB. Bank to benches are a dying breed in LA schoolyards. It sucks too because they are so fun! Most of the ones I know of have had the banks destroyed or the benches chained, knobbed or are worn out (the fiberglass edges split apart). There are a couple left that I still see people film at and they are the worst ones. Lockwood seems to be back in action so that may be one of the last really good ones.

Big budget LA skating continues to blur the line between real spots and fake spots.  Something about this trick is kind of awkward.  It'd be fucked on a normal ledge.  Remember the frontside halfcab flip crooked grind fakie?  That one seems much more difficult.

You may be happy to learn that Joey Brezinski does one in the new Grizzly ad. Sorry I don't have it handy.

When I was there one time, this kid showed me where he & his homies stashed one of the original benches over behind a building & dragged it over to the bank to skate it. He said "but the Girl dudes always bring this super nice silver bench." Then he looked kinda sad for a sec & said "they don't like my bench, bro."

ofcourse I scrolled right, that's how I know he didn't slide. I like Guy, but this trick is booty, especially for a spitfire ad.

^90% of bank to bench tricks are slid/grinded a foot or less. I bet the footage will make it look good.

That's the exact reason why I think 90% of bank to bench tricks are trash. You don't really have to grind or land the trick properly.

From where he got on to where he flips out looks like at least like one section of the bench supports or about the length of a board which is pretty close to three feet, yeah its not super long but where did you get that he didn't slide at all?
