What's it like near you?  I took a train back to Buffalo from NY and it's still pretty crazy over here.  Lots of people without power already

God damn coasters making us northern lake folk pay for all of your damages.  Why don't you all just join us up here in the midwest?  If you think it's too cold just go to Wal Mart and get yourself a fat lady to keep you warm.  Oh while I'm at it, screw you plainers in Tornado alley as well.  Join us in Coronary Valley, leave your "culture" behind.

live on the jersey shore and i think the worst is over. the immediate coast got pretty fucked up. LBI and Atlantic City with the most damage... a bunch of trees/light poles are knocked over around me... wind still going, but not above 70mph.

live right outside hoboken..that pic is no way real. high winds, trees down all over, but flooding is no way that gnarly...still crossing fingers for power to stay on

I live about 20 mins from NYC and thankfully everything is alright.
Still got power so the High Life is still cold & I can heat up my frozen pizza.
Stay Safe everyone.

Saw a picture from lbi and looks like a huge portion is flooded. Barely rained in philly though and if I hadnt heard of the hurricane I wouldn't have thought any differently of tonight. I do hope my sister and her family get power soon though.

Northern Virginia, not much beside the sodden streets and steady howling winds. Since late saturday the rains have remained at a static drizzling pace, carried as mist by the wind. The most damage I've seen is small tree limbs scattered thru my neighborhood, but beside that not much but the gutters streaming with loud water. Occasionally the rain intensifies, but all in a fleeting act. Stay safe NYC!

Not too much happened in our part of the city. Pretty much a redux of Irene for us. The trees didn't even lose all their yellow leaves.

Pittsburgh isn't too bad. High winds, cold, and rainy. Lots of accidents from people not driving safely in the conditions though. Stay safe everyone!
