Are there any heat fans here? Never met one in real life.

the spurs are a better basketball team but you can't underestimate the fact that this is sterns last year. does he want his legacy to be defined by the team he hates the most in the world winning and giving him the ultimate FUCK YOU for a sendoff? this motherfucker gonna pull out his best ref goons to make sure spurs lose.

Indiana didnt really "do their thing". Outside of the turnovers, it seemed like hibbert was out of it and foul trouble kept him and george from taking more risks/shots/nastier picks. They shouldve taken green out or not played him at all, he gave up some important points and any possible momentum probably. Indiana definitely wasnt in the right headspace.

I wanna say spurs in 6 only because i think pops probably has an effective way to deal with miami fronting the post and dealing with lebron in the low post and closing lanes and keeping ray allen out of the game, but i feel like an effective small game could get parker in foul trouble and fuck with the spurs? Especially since the heat has such a good transition offense so maybe heat in 6? Especially if the refs call a bunch of bullshit flops.

i can see this series going either way, at least 6 games.
I can see the spurs having some rust from too much rest, I can see Miami carrying momentum and sweeping, or running out of gas if the series goes long.
Its gonna be a good series.

I can't predict the future but I have been watching NBA basketball  for 20 years and if there's anything I do know it's that in the playoffs defense, coaching/strategy depth, and shooting are what wins championships and Spurs have the advantage on all of those categories.

I would love to say Spurs will sweep but that's not going to happen. I think Miami will win game 1 off of ECF trophy momentum and San Antonio will come out a bit rusty. Spurs will make the adjustments and dominate the rest of the series.

truth be told I wouldnt even be surprised with the way the whole heat team has been flopping. Granted Manu does enough of that on his own, but Lebron & Dwade will always get more superstar calls made for them. Spurs just gotta make sure the score isnt too tight at the end of the 4th because I really wouldnt put it beyond Stern to favor the Heat in this series for "basketball reasons". Joey Crawford to rescue!

George Karl & the Nuggets part ways. I'd like to see him go to the Clippers as well as Brian Shaw going to Brooklyn. I think GK would be that coach that commands respect from the Clippers, better develop Blake & DeAndre, and would get along perfectly with CP3. Shaw could also get a chance to sorta develop his own culture in Brooklyn which would be cool to see from Phil Jackson's protege.

I like George Karl and have alot of respect for him but the bottomline is you just can't win a championship playing a run and and style he'll always be sucessful but never get over the hump.

Game one tonight!! Miami is favoured by 5 points at home. I know LBJ has 25 pounds and 3 inches on Kawhi but I think KL is a better defender than Paul George interested to see how San Antonio plays Lebron will they double and leave open shooters or go with single coverage? let the chess match begin. GO SPURS GO!!

^Face up, sure, kawhi can guard lebron; well whatever you consider guarding the player on the planet, but in the post kawhi is gunna get bodied.

And to the guy who talked about the spurs fronting in the post, the spurs front everyone in the post. It's a great defensive trap when your oppenent doesn't have shooters which Miami has plenty of.

We never got to see these teams really play eachother in the regular season at full line up strength on both sides so its really hard to figure which way it goes.

Miami in 7 is the gut pick. Kinda of hard to to go against the best player of the floor theory. For me what it comes down to is tp's game versus lbj's.

Degenerate gambler pick for game 1: spurs +5

hard to be mad at this game. Miami set some sick screens in the first half, tony parker played like a magician in the 2nd half and the passing was ridiculous all around. 7 games of this? Im down. Easily gonna be the best finals series in the last couple years.

The whole game:

Wow what a good game. The best moments for me were Tony Parker's ridiculous buzzer beater and watching Tim Duncan score, reject a shot and draw a foul all on Birdman within the space of about a minute during the second quarter. Danny Green almost fucked it all up with that foul on Ray Allen's three-point attempt but Miami were so wasteful in the 4th quarter. Couple of bad late-game passes by Lebron a la game 2 of the Heat vs. Pacers series.

Since everyone's giving out their uninformed predictions, I'll say Spurs in 6, with Parker winning Finals MVP. Also we will probably see Mario Chalmers cry from Lebron and Wade's bullying at some point.
