« on: December 08, 2012, 07:31:38 PM »
I just broke my wrist and was wondering if there are any wrist guards that really help.

Getting old and need to take care a bit.

If they still make them. S-ones are by far the best.

From what I could see, they look pretty good. Shipping was a bit steep at $25 but hopefully it will be worth it. Thanks for pointing them out.

The S- One arrived. Won't be able to skate for a while but it seems great. Padded well and more like a cast than a short wrist guard. I'm hoping it will save me more hospital bills time off skating this year...

Hope they work out for you...they are designed to disperse impact instead of just moving the impact force up your arm. The old rector style with the big plastic piece were known for just moving the impact up your arm and causing a fracture where the guard ended. I had to put some duct tape on my s-one where the fabric ripped but it held together just fine.
