I'll withhold judgement until I see some shoes, but I think I'll stick with Ipaths.

Lol, didn't Jamie give certain riders shit for not riding for "core" shoe companies? But now he's starting a major partnership with one...  ???

One thing I do really like about this is that New Balances are traditionally American made. If they stick w/ that for this program I believe they'd be the only made in USA skate shoes on the market.

Boston-based New Balance announced today that it will enter the skate footwear market through a license agreement with Black Box Distribution of Carlsbad, CA. Branded as New Balance Numeric
I hope they do make some skate shoes in the U.S. I'm interpreting this sentence as  this new brand New Balance Numeric will just be Fallen shoes branded and sold as New Balance.

Quote
For the creative direction and design of New Balance Numeric, Black Box has partnered with Los Angeles based Westlife Distribution, to ensure the collection will bring a distinct new perspective to the skateboarding market.
So I guess Westlife is a snowboard company that will design the shoes?
This is the best prediction we have right now of what the skate shoes may potentially look like.

The funny thing is, I heard about the NB skate line about three weeks ago from a rep who stumbled upon samples at the Westlife warehouse. He also told me that he heard talk of Puleo being the first pro. Sounds crazy, I know. But the first part of NB skate line through Black Box sounded completely unbelievable too, and here we are with a press release.

"We combine the East Coast heritage and supreme workmanship of New Balance with the West Coast lifestyle and culture of Skateboarding, says Michael Akira West, President & CEO at Westlife Distribution.

said this on here before, but all the hipsters and yuppies that support New Balance cuz they are made in America are regular, they only make about 15%-20% of their shoes in the US, and those are the ones that are sold mostly at core running shoe stores, not at Footlocker or any other mall. Pick a pair up look at the tongue Made in China or Made in Vietnam.

only make about 15%-20% of their shoes in the US
Compare that to virtually every other shoe company standing at 0%
