Everyone who had a pair said they were really sick to skate in.

i mean it kinda it stinks to see companies come into skateboarding like this because it makes it feel like our passion with skateboarding isn't as special anymore. however, if new balance is coming into skateboarding with good intentions to offer quality products that look good i mean hey why not. plus they are partnering with black box which means that jamie has got things covered. he is definitely not going to allow them to put out shoes that look horrible.

So these shoes hit Japan then went on sale in no time flat. I had a couple of pairs, not bad for $30.
There was no way I was going to pay the initial price though.

i cant sleep and i just sat here and read all 10 pages of this bullshit to realize that people are regular. if you dont like something, dont buy it. its that simple. and if you're scared that your core brands will disappear, and if you are that fucking worried about it, buy as many as you can while they last.
Amen dude. If you don't like NB in skateboarding, then just don't buy their shoes. They will get the message soon enough when their revenue plummets. People need to realize there influence on the market. Just as the trendy kids are buying up skate gear and putting more money into skateboarding. Yeah, it is a bummer that non-skaters and jock types are dabbling with the skateboard culture, but they are giving money to companies that can give back to skateboarding. I can't stress enough how much I hate the cool guy, jock vibe at the parks I go to around here, but if that means more money to companies and their riders to keep skateboarding kicking a little longer, so be it. I buy what I want, and am picky when it comes to the brands I support, and those who I associate with.
Skateboarding is easy, I've played Skate 3 dude!

I believe this is relevant to this topic:

With New Balance, and now this, it's pretty safe to say Black Box is really hurting for money.

This is upsetting, because that means Slave will probably be the first company to get put down.

I find it hard to believe that Mystery brings in more revenue than Slave.

It's here...

http://www.complex.com/sneakers/2012/12/first-look-new-balance-numeric-891-skate-shoe

 :o
and then it was there.  and then you brought it right back here, like you were on top of some shit.  it clearly says - "[via Slap Magazine]", right at the end of that horribly long paragraph you must not have been able to finish.
I'm posting from my blackberry wtf?!?!?
