Bay Area roommate?
« on: January 15, 2013, 03:17:42 PM »
Anyone looking for a roommate or know anyone who might be looking for a roommate in the Bay Area?  I've got a job opportunity there but I'd have to move out there from the east coast.

private message 'goblinshark' on here.

i'm fairly sure they might still have a room available at their house.

thanks for the tip,  I've tried pm'ing goblinshark but it never seems to go through.  I'm somewhat new here but the message system seems simple enough.  this a problem on here or am i missing something?

I think as close or accessible to San Francisco as possible, where's south bay located?

If you're going to be working in the city, I wouldn't live down here. That commute is a nightmare. Check craigslist, SF, Oakland, south SF, Daly City.

Yeah, craigslist it. There are always tons of open rooms for rent.

I can't believe how much rent has gone up in SF. I moved Fillmore area about 3 years ago and found a small studio for $1079. Me and my girl were thinking of getting a bigger place and we noticed everywhere moved up in price. Even my place went up to $1400 a month and the cheaper studios at the tim in the TL were about a little over a thousand and now they are about $1500 as well. It's insane up here.

It's pretty fucked, yeah. My wife and I pay 2200 for a 2 bedroom apt downtown SJ. WE like the area though.

Fuck, that's a lot for an apartment that isn't in tourist trap city. I'll keep my $950 mortgage on the three bedroom victorian in the suburbs. At times I dislike driving or taking bart to spend time in the city and feel like I'm missing out but the rent is ridiculous . Your view is amazing at least right?

Honestly, it's one of the cheaper ones we looked at. $950? Where? Stockton?

Holy crap! $950? I'm paying $995 in downtown Oakland. It's a "1 bedroom" but is technically a 2 bedroom with no living room. Not a bad deal at all.

And for the record, I prefer to live in Oakland.

No, Antioch

I can't do that commute, I'd blow my head off. I drive to Cupertino and that's still almost an hour at 730am, 10 miles away.

I'm down to try to start some kind of Paper Street skateboard/sport drinking training facility. I can't front the deposit, but if a bunch of deadbeat skateboard retards wanna build a fortress, I'm down for it.
i saw my grandma bail off a 4 set once in my house and she even got up and came to red lobster after.
