Knee Pad Question
« on: January 23, 2013, 03:48:42 PM »
Hey guys, older guy here getting back into skating after a long break from it.
Back in the day, we used to wear 2 sets of Rector kneepads. We'd rip the caps off one pair and use them as underpads.
I'm looking to get some 187 kneepads. Will underpads/knee gaskets be necessary with these, or can I just wear them by them self?
Trying to save my creaking bones. Thanks.

I have friends with 187s and they just wear them and seem to like them. They are younger vert oriented skater though. I have heard of a knee pad from older dudes that supposed to be super padded. It might be these but I really can't remember the name, it was a few years ago. heard they are super bulky though, I don't think I'd get them at that price.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, the Paincheaters are out of my budget. The 187's will be used for bowls/pools.
