the top ones are soooo fucking gross! maybe the ugliest shoe ever by nike sb...
the one shot seems different... i like the concept... need to see them on somebody foot though.
There is again "Nike SB" line for Spring 2014. All shoes that were in the 6.0 line like the mogan, mavrk and other crap are now part of the "SB" division.
Notice how the P-Rod 7 and Koston 2 have "Nike SB" label on the tongue. The ones that are already out are just "Nike" brand.
Tate, Everything going forward will "SB" on it. The "ribbon" logo is gone.
Knew it was coming...doesn't make it any less weird or awful.
Wonder why the 'ribbon' logo only lasted oen year?
July release.
Tate,
Internally Nike "Action" couldn't get there heads together on a strategy. There was an internal group that didnt want 6.0 to go away. It created a natural "segmentation" and afforded Nike Action to sell Nike SB to core skateshops and non-core would get 6.0. When 6.0 went away things got a bit cloudy. The ribbon was designed by Aaron Draplin. It was supposed to offer, again, a segmentation between SB branded shoes and the broader distributed shoes. Again internal struggles ensued. Now you are beginning to see the results of the one brand mark, Nike SB. SB as the title sponsor of Street League was the final nail in the SB for core shop coffin. All shoes coming out of Nike Action will be branded with the Nike SB brand mark.
Does this mean that there is no exclusive shoes for core skateshops anymore, and that all the shoes in mall shops will have SB on them?
If this is how its ending up, im never buying Nike SB products again. Not that I have since they startet fucking up the SB a couple of years ago, but still.. Why would they do this wack shit? (I know, money.. but.. why?)
I think that i'm going to stock one more pair of OG Blazer if I can then call it a day, I bought 4 pairs of Nike SB in my entire life: 2 pairs of Blazer CS, and 2 of regular Blazers, and all 4 pairs were amazing from a functional point of view, and some core brand has still to launch something that good (Huf Hupper are also really good, but really hard to find here in Europe), but all in all, unless they relaunch the CS Blazer I won't buy more nikes anymore. I think that once I'll be able to find some Reynolds or Howard mids at a decent price I will be set for a long time as long as they don't discontinue them.
