Nike biting the Slash easy shoe and Nuge tweets with the native print. Nike also biting Slash's shoe that was black and as you skate it ollies scratch off the black for color underneath. But hey they have the money so.
Adidas did this even before Fallen.  One of the first colorways of the skate Campus vulcs were white leather which wore away to black underneath.  Nothing new, Nike just created a backstory/marketing strategy for it.
Nike has done it before as well, I think thr SPoT dunk changed color...

Don't forget that the Liberty and Cheech & Chong Dunks all had this stuff as well. Cool to see it back.

Whats up with the idiotic "paint shoes not walls" slogan on the insoles? Also, I hate how the black pair scratches to color in places that get the least amount of wear.

^^^^I thought that was dumb too. Would have made more sense to have it on the toe panels and side areas. I bet people will find a way to scrape of the paint so the shoes will look like regular Jordan 1s.

Adrian Lopez used native print for the Al50 almost ten or more years ago.

^Yeah, at this point 1/4 of this thread is non-skateable shoes. Sure, they might say "Janoski" or "Koston" but you might as well be posting new Air Max colors. Who gives a shit.

Yep. Was about to say that. Only colorway I remember was the black with highlighter green underneath.

Why ruin it with the back part blue? Could have been a simple effective colorway but Nike screws it up again.

This constantly happens...it's bad enough with all these neon puke colorways, but leave it to Nike to break it when it ain't broke.

They have some shitty people running the show over there - no idea of what's traditional, and how skaters want just little hits of color  here and there on a good solid canvas. Those early colorways of the 2000's just seem to look better and better as time goes by.

sorry this isn't about an upcoming release, and probably a stupid question, but are these Blazers much different than regular blazers other than being lower?

i can't keep track of sb, non sb, whatever the fuck.  got those on sale and wondering if anyone has skated them.  thanks

Seriously. I had a pair of Dunk Vapors that I thought were the ugliest shoes I ever owned but they weren't so bad that I'd give up on a shoe I liked. Nowadays, I'd only consider 2/5 colorways wearable.

That Blue Dunk isn't that awful but it still begs the question, "Why?"

It's a play off of the Jordan 1 Royal. In this case (as in most cases) they're more pandering to sneakerheads than skateboarders.

That said, I still like them a lot.
Look I'm not selling anything that doesn't have my jizz on it. I don't care how much is offered.

It's a reference to an old Indy ad. The slogan was paint trucks not walls. Apparently it came out when guys were skating the original Jordan 1's. If you need confirmation, Lance has the as posted on his Instagram.

I know that, so why not just pattern it exactly and not jack it up with the blue.

The Nike Blazer Mid LR utilized a Lunarlon insole versus the traditional Nike Zoom insole. More comfortable for wearing around but a little weird to skate at first until it flattens out a little bit. Its lower like you said and shaped a little different, a little looser on the foot. There is also the stitching on the toe as the original non-SB Blazers had. Overall, pretty similar, however if you skated the old ones you might be a bit disappointed.
