Why? I guess Nike can't afford to pay the riders and their names?  ::)

Haven't seen any CK's without his name on them. But I have seen lots of Blazers with no mention of GT. Also Blazers with the rubber toe cap,if it wasn't dead before, wait till you see Nike's new line. I feel like the rubber toes is done.

Nike sb and cons are both in crisis, every new model (not from their catalog) they try to launch is a colercial failure: Metrixs, koston 3, p-rods even IW dunks... at this point they sell more janoski max than gt blazers.
And converse is clearly stale, and I can't see investor pushing the skate program if it does create an increasing profit.

Nike sb is clearly praying for the 2020 olympics to save their ass

Rehashing old models with a pro name in it never looked a cool idea to me. They missed the front line in the toe cap race with the ck1, released too late IMO. The IW dunks are worse than the standard sb ones from what i saw. Prods and kostons are too fucking expensive, no skater will drop that money on a skate shoe and they dont look really able to crossovers to the lifestyle market... metrics are kind of a niche shoe. I dont see everyone liking it (althrough i love their design). Not every shoe can sell like the janoski, but that doesnt mean they sell that bad, some of them sell decently. If they drop a nyjah shoe with a good crossover potencial i can see them doing pretty good.

If this trend continues, and Adidas keeps making great shoes, it'll be only a matter of time before Nike SB start pulling out of skating. Or at least downsizing greatly.

From what I hear, SB got sort of overrun by more corporate types who don't really understand skateboarding super well in an effort to churn out bigger profits.

Dunk High's used to retail for $75.

Got another question, if Nike has dropped Grant Taylor's name from the GT Blazer and Cory's from the CK1, are the prices going to stay the same? Or is Nike going to drop the retail price?

Exactly why they aren't selling like they used too. They offer like one shoe for under 70$ and it's a knock off janoski. Adidas sell the Busenitz and Sucius for 75...

Prices have raised across the board at Nike, from what I've seen. From Running and basketball shoes to the SB line. Nike's stock rose like 450% or something crazy in the last 10 years, or something nuts like that. 150% in the last 3. Stock is rising a lot, that means the want and popularity of Nike's shoes has risen also. That means they're gonna start raising prices across the board. Just like any other corporation.

Just saw the Winter 17 Line.

Bruin is getting the CK Toe cap treatment.

Grant and CK will get 1 color way per season, to keep them a little bit more limited.  Nike is noticing the wall is becoming overflowed and is trying to keep shoes off the sale floor.  Prices stay the same even with the name drop.

Koston Hyper vulc looked good and was down $5 from $85 to $80.

Dunk highs are thinned out drastically through the ankle, no puff.

Also a Janoski with a hyper vulc sole that looked amazing for a janoski
Anyone else notice that Tony Parker is the Gino of basketball?
