Asheville NC and Roanoke VA skateparks

any pals got recommendations for cool parks / spots in either of these towns? road trippin down south and these are the two cities we plan on stopping at to skate /see live music. any help garnishes a big thanks!

I live in Charlotte NC, not far from Asheville, and I'd say definitely hit up Push Skateshop. Those guys are rad. Street skating in Asheville is probably not going to impress you but I know there are a few spots that those guys can guide you to. I know they have a foundation spot with some pretty sick stuff local guys built. Theres a keyholder bowl there too but I dont know much about it. Not far from Asheville, maybe an hour away, is a town called Hendersonville with an awesome skate park, its concrete with a bowl and then a big "plaza style" street course. I drive two hours to skate it from here because its pretty rad.

Hit me up if you guys end up in Charlotte, we have a ton of street spots or if you wanna just get drunk and meet slutty girls I'm very knowledgable in that department too.

I currently live in Roanoke.  There are spots to skate as well as some parks.  Which highway/interstate will you be driving on to get here? Chances are you will be passing multiple parks without going out of your way.

We're taking the blue ridge parkway...so from the direction of 81 N I suppose

hey mike, the Christainsburg park was fun, it rained in Roanoke the night we stayed there so it was kinda wet.....fun mini ramp there, thanks for the heads up.


asheville is fucking awesome...this town is great....that foundation spot is epic. met a dude at the concrete park last night who works for the parks/rec department, super cool dude, I wonder if he posts on here.

thanks a lot for the input guys, making our trip that much better. bout to check out hendersonville on our way out tomorrow if it doesn't rain...place looks unreal!
