Woke up this morning (afternoon) to see one of my best friends in the world, Mike Belleme, has a photo essay published on the front page of CNN.com. Just some photos of us, the crew and PUSH Skateshop over the years.

The wording is a little funny in places, but I guess that's what happens when you tell a reporter something and they translate it into whatever they think sounds best for the article... which is almost the point of everything he had to say in the first place.

Gotta love comment sections.

That was a really sick series of photos though, makes me wonder why skateboarding doesn't really seem to embrace the photo essay.

Journalist and publications (not magazines) have to write everything in AP style which has to answer who,what,where,when, and why. Usually in a very particular fashio (I interned at a paper before). I bet that wasn't the way they wanted to write it.

The photo essay was great none the less.

That was really cool. And never read the comments on those type of stories, bunch of bored unemployed idiots commenting, makes Slap look like a high brow forum board

The only thing High Brow in slap is the Ben Raemer's sister thread and the fact one of his sponsor's tried to get it deleted
