Bringing the (white) heat with that White Stripes album. Pica, how did you get your hands on that?

To Mr. Kamikaze, Iron Butterfly is great. As far as psychedelic rock goes, they (to me anyway) feel pretty overlooked as a whole.

As for me... I've kinda splurged the past week and a half...

Recent purchases:
The Temptations - Anthology (3 LP set)
Santana - s/t
Violent Femmes - s/t
The Pretenders - Learning to Crawl
The Motion Picture Soundtrack to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Amazing Baby - Rewild (brand new for $2 on ebay)
MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
The Best of Bach
Lil B - Rain in England (for shits/gigs)
Psychic Ills - Hazed Dream --- great new-age psychedelic band
Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs (180 gram Spanish reissue from 2011)
Led Zeppelin - In Through the Out Door (the non-brown paper bag edition)
The Doors - Soft Parade
Deerhunter - Monomania (so hyped on this album)

That 13th Floor Elevators records is on the wall on the record store for 100 dollars. Looks rad as hell.
Seeing all the Syd Barrett stuff reminded me how dumb I was not to buy Syd Barrett Peel Sessions when I saw it....

The Peel Sessions were going for $20 on ebay a few months back. Now, I can't find any god damn copies... I really wish I would've picked up a copy when I had the chance too.

Today's purchases from the local record store..!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Band of Horses - Everything All the Time
Blondie - Parallel Lines
Deerhunter - Halcyon Digest
Grease - The Original soundtrack from the Motion Picture
Mac Demarco - 2

I've been debating on buying a local promo copy of Ultimate Spinach III for $20 in vg+ shape, but I can find mint copies for roughly the same price on ebay.

You can never really buy too many albums. There are just too many great records out there that are ripe for the picking.

I'm currently bidding on Ultimate Spinach III.

Recent purchases from the local shop:
-The Beatles - Abbey Road (1978 pressing)
-Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II (1971 pressing - still in shrink!)
-Led Zeppelin III (1970 - first pressing)
money well spent

they released both covers at the same time, the version i got was mostly used for the CDs. it varies on the country/region. i like the version you own much more.

at the copa - copacabana.... was just 1 euro.

and on this one i'm really hyped:

bought all of them for 1 euro each at the flea market. as well as this LP i picked up out of curiosity not knowing anything about it, but the cover looked interesting:

i came home, put it on the turntable and played it, some kind of folk music with a strong irish influence. not the stuff i'd listen to, but whatever. just a euro.  put it back in the shelf and didn't looked at it for 3 or 4 days.

today i've looked it up on discogs. turns out to be a rare private press, limited to 500 copies and it costs between 85 dollars  and 110 euros.

Hey Pica, you seem to be into German stuff, you know this guy?

Manfred Krug - Wenn der Urlaub kommt

his stuff blew my mind last year.......I'm really on the hunt for anything by him and arranger Gunther Fischer, but it's hard to find outside of Germany, I've only got one of their LP's for now.
