Every time I see the Soft Parade cover I think of how before I heard "Tell all the People" and "Touch Me" I thought all Doors songs were unfuckwitable.

New albums:

The Beatles - Let it Be & Magical Mystery Tour (1st pressing - U.S.)
The Doors - Strange Days (1st Pressing)
The Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed
The Misfits - s/t
Hall & Oates - Rock N Soul Pt. 1
Otis Redding - Dock of the Bay
Otis Redding/Jimi Hendrix Experience
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Axis: Bold as Love
Earth Wind & Fire - Best of Vol. 1

---The Soft Parade is a pretty damn good album (my least favorite Doors album though), but it just showcases a weird time in the Doors' career. Touch Me alongside Runnin' Blue and the title track just don't feel like they fit together.

Damn nice! '80s music is always prime.

Every time the Bob (medley) comes on by Roxy, it's just instant flashbacks of Reynolds nailing frontside flips.

Oh yeah for sure.

The 80's had some of the raddest bands. Really cool era of music.

one of these things is not like the others....
I'm especially stoked on finding the Biz Mark LP, cause original 80's hip hop stuff is pretty hard to come by in Europe. German pressing but still, for 10 euros, I aint complaining at all.

"The Bob" was off of Roxy Music's first record, which came out in 1972. Roxy Music came out with two records in the early 80s. Far from an 80s band.

I always considered it '80s music growing up. I never really looked into it, despite owning several of Roxy Music's albums.

New pick ups:

The Best of Tommy James and the Shondells
Earth Wind & Fire - That's the Way of the World (sealed for only $2.99)
The Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks (1964-1971)
Deerhunter - Vox Celeste 5 b/w Microcastle Mellow 3 ---- a 7" with different takes from the two songs featured on Microcastle. Reaaaally great stuff, one of the 45s from Sub Pops singles of the month back in 2009. Best purchase all month.

I need to start taking pictures versus just posting...
anyway, recent purchases include:
Ian Dury "New Boots and Panties" on gold vinyl, original.
Belle and Sebastian "The Blues are Still Blue" 7 inch(I work at the record store when the owner needs an extra hand and I was going through stuff, and there was a bunch of 7 inches on the floor that I almost stepped and this one was one of them, mint condition, and it was five bucks)
The Urinal "Negative Capability" reissue on In The Red.
Veronica Falls 7 inch. Self titled.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Is it the original pressing of Paranoid or the reprint from NEMS that has been circulating over the past couple years?
I know that the original NEMS pressing has some sound issues during War Pigs and perhaps another song.

How much did you score the Nirvana Unplugged album for?

Did you notice the sound change at all during that track?

Pick ups from the weekend:

John Lennon: Live in NYC
Black Sabbath: Master of Reality (WB pressing!!)
Tame Impala: EP (just bought this at their concert for ridiculously cheap -- it was a RSD release)
Roky Erickson: Gremlins Have Pictures (repress)

Finally took the plunge and bought Dead Meadow's first album. First edition, first pressing. Limited clear vinyl. I think it's 1 of 100 that came out back in 2000. $129 well spent

another Dead Meadow album ---- really raw recording

Also purchased new copies of:
13th Floor Elevators - Psychedelic Sounds (repress)
Roky Erickson - Gremlins Have Pictures (repress)

funny that i havent posted in this thread before. i almost feel as if vinyl records slowed me down from skating. started djing twice a week for
extra money once i felt i had a pretty solid, well rounded collection. after that, all i ever care about is records. anyways, this is a photo of a dj set i did at a bar down the street from me, thought you'd enjoy
