The Future of Southbank

It's a good read, but if you're TL, just look at the pretty pictures. All the worry about the death of Southbank is sure to be assuaged.

Marked improvement.

so do the southbank locals feel like this is the best outcome? what level of input have the locals been given in the process? were there any other options on the table? i've been a bit removed from the whole battle and was wondering about the sentiment on the ground.

this aint the outcome this is just a proposed vision of what could replace southbank. ppl are still campaigning there every day and doing loads of work to prevent this change. its wack. check out https://www.facebook.com/LongLiveSouthbank?fref=ts for updates on the campaign to save SB. there have been lots of meetings between locals and the southbank centre (you can even watch them somewhere on ustream) about what to do, but from the skate side its basically just resistance (as it shud be). and yeh as someone who skates there a lot this is definitely not what ppl feel is the best outcome

It's not that bad.. It's definitely better than South Bank in its current form.
