I saw a kid break his kingpin and flip out because he wont be able to get new trucks for a week so I sold him my old bootleg speed demon trucks for 20bucks... got me thinking since there are no shops around here I might take a stab at it.
  Any advice on this

A similar situation happened to me, except they were basically new Destructos and I gave them to him for free because I'm a really cool guy that doesn't sell Speed Demon trucks to kids for more than they're probably worth.

Some guy around here used to sell Consolidated stuff out of his truck. Who knows if he ever sold anything though.

my friend started to sell decks out of his trunk before he opened a skateshop, so maybe you're onto something
Look, I'm an individual within us, partaking in this business

It's usually frowned upon by the industry. In Colorado, those that try get sweated pretty damn hard. But we have alot of skateshops around here that support the scene, so it makes sense to run "trunk shops" out of town. Try starting up a shop, its hard to do, but awesome when you do it.

Do kids not know how to replace a kingpin anymore?

I dont know skateboarding is a little too dead around here even zumiez closed their shop down... And to set the record straight the kid offered me 20 for them... Thats what gave me the idea of the truck shop.  I cant afford to open up a shop and it to fail. And I was a big part of keeping our old shop open that failed big time.  Even the hipster boutiques that sell boards have been gradually closing their doors to the point there is none left...

Yesterday I stopped at 3 skateparks because it was the nicest day of the year so far and there was only 20 or so kids skating at all 3... I dont think its worth it.
