Jersey Barrier (help)

I'm concreting a jersey barrier tomorrow and I don't really know how to go about it..

Any advice on how to go about making it perfect and smooth and stuff?

For the smoothness and stuff the simple rule is: the more water you add in to the mix the smoother it becomes. Also when you flatten the cement, make sure the rocks sink, and the smooth stuff comes on top.

Sorry for bad terms. (I dont know much of the construction terms in english)
