really hyped on how this turned out. It was inspired by the Jordan 3's, Project BA's, Salazars, and Skytop 3's

nice work. definitely got a basketball look to it.

Thanks! Just got done finishing up some colorways for it. Jordan 1 & glow in the dark Air Yeezy 2 colorways at the bottom

I would buy it, looks like it would be fun to skate. The Yeezy colorway would be an instacop. I could see this taking off as just a sought after sneaker as well with the Jordan 3/BA elements. Now I want to draw up a dream shoe.
Look I'm not selling anything that doesn't have my jizz on it. I don't care how much is offered.

^ Thanks man! If you're the creative type it's definitely fun just to fuck around with from time to time, it's dope to see a shoe made & catered specifically to your own personal tastes. pro's are so lucky to be able to do that and actually get paid for it.

I want a skate shoe modeled after my first pair of sneakers from when I was a three year old. They were velcro (so the laces won't rip) and they were orange, white and silver.

I've made a start on a couple ideas.

Was going for a suede toe cap, suede panel on the side with the recessed lace holes. Lower half of the tongue is mesh with the top part suede, slight padding, lace loop. Thin cupsole. Top lace hole with a metal eyelet. Simple sides with padding to the inner collar. No brand markings. Just a start though.

The other idea is a desert boot, but it needs more work.

What you guys think?

I wanna see that desert boot!

that sketch you have now tho is a solid simple yet functional shoe.  It's not something I'd wear personally but i think there'd be a lot of people who'd gravitate towards that type of shoe. still, you said you were just getting started so I know how things change. Once you get that overall feel for what you wanna do, its all the small tweaks & details that make the whole thing come together. heres my OG prototype next to the final.

Thanks guys.

Drawn it a bit bigger now, working out the kinks. I'll stick it back up when it's done.
The desert boot is fucking me about though, proving hard to get the lines right!

Done some more to it.

Trying to do an inner side too, but I can't decide what sort of ventilation to do.

Thanks man. Yeah i'm in a art school but i'm a paint student, nothing design related. I draw shoes just for fun and love for footwear.

A new one, this time a little simpler, to please the slap audience. I took some inspiration from the nike presto and the etnies highlight but not as heavy tech.

Damn. Both look wicked. Why all emerica?

I like how you've got angled shots, shits difficult to draw.

I dont know, i like to draw shoes with a brand/skater in mind. Emerica is one of my favourites so why not?

Yeah practice leads to better designs, i still struggle a little in the back view tho.

There are some very cool designs in this thread. I really like your sketches, Sk.A.T.A.N!

Drew these three a while back. Obviously inspired by old eS classics.
I've made some colorways too, if anyone's interested!

Well, thanks to you too! Haha, digital is pretty much the only way for me... I really need to work on sketching by hand.

Anyway, here are some colors!

First of all, I think that almost every shoe should be released in these three colorways:

And I have this thing for the "warm gray" colorway that eS first did with the Koston 1 in 1998.

A couple more colorful. I think it suits that style of shoe.

Been working with Alive shoes to put out a sick skate shoe kinda on the higher end but full grain leather and a quality sole makes the price worth it!

My second attempt. I wanted to make a shoe that was similar to the dunk with alot of similar features you would find in a more tech shoe. I combined the dunk mid silhouette with the sole of the Supra Ellingtons with a real airbag & the toecap of the etnies Marana. I have contemplated  just giving it the basic dunk sole & taking off the marana toe cap but whatever thats something you can imagine on your own if you'd prefer a more simpler shoe. theres also a mesh tongue & inside sidewall similar to the g6's or reynolds as well as the swoosh being "fused" on like with the P-Rod 6's or Kostons.

I picture this in the colours of the back to the future shoe.  Grey suede with the grey rubber toe piece.  Pretty sick dude.

thanks fam. I'm try to work on the laces next, haha

Those look a lot like the old trainers SB used to make, I always really liked the way they looked but could never find a pair that wasn't outrageous in price.

I really like the first 4 colorways, the warm grey one is great. eS made a pack with it not a long time ago:

Just one that doesn't look like its being marketed towards rappers, less lifestyle and more functional.

Done a quick one, with a pen. The pink is just to highlight some details and inner things. It's pretty simple, with a Blazer or Chuck Taylor kind of silhouette, but with more tech details to it. (GIVE ME A JOB IN THE INDUSTRY!  ;D   )
