I dont fully understand the features they are taking away but they sound just as superfluous as the kinect. I don't understand how having a physical disc in hand is more intrusive than downloading your game from a cloud to a friends xbox? That just sounds dumb, you know like waving your hands around hoping your kinect understands you instead of clicking a button with your thumb.
