Back pain - muscle imbalances
« on: June 06, 2013, 08:22:27 AM »
I've been skating a lot this summer and recently my back has been driving me crazy.  It's like a bit of a sharp pinch in my mid-left back; the side of my body that I pop with.  I don't skate much switch or nollie and I'm wondering if I should because this is some sort of muscle imbalance. Anyone else have any experiences with this?

you might have a rib head out of place.  shit happens to me alot, feels like a sharp pain when you breath in.  my advice is to go see a chiropractor and after that get a massage.  it works wonders,  i doubt it has to do with your skating, you probably just slept in a weird position.

I've had problem like this before from being active, just wondering if skating could be aggravating the problem.  Might be a problem with my sacroiliac joint? Anyway, thanks for the input.

skating your regular stance will make it worse so do cruncheds and back stretches and skate more switch
