sounds like you just had an asshole flight attendant. of the 100 times I've brought my board on not once has it ever been questioned. i work for the airline with the blue planes, not to give it away..

Just flew on southwest with a board backpack and they insisted on taking the board off the straps and checking it seperately. So they just slapped a luggage sticker on the bare board. Got through ok. Depends on whos checking, mostly on southwest they haven’t given a shit.

I’ve never had a problem with bringing my boards on a plane. International, or domestic. It’s usually just strapped to my backpack, or in my checked bags
